WOW.
That was quick. It took, oh, 30 seconds after the game ended for everyone to start worrying about LeBron leaving?
Seriously?
We blew through everybody in the regular season and the first two rounds, ran into a hot team that was a horrible matchup for us, didn't make the proper adjustments to counter those bad matchup problems, got poor contributions from the supporting case AS A WHOLE for basically THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR, and it's this:
Ferry's gotta do something.
Shoulda got Shaq.
Z should retire.
Brown should be fired.
Our starting backcourt is too small.
Everybody needs to go.
Am I disappointed? Absolutely.
Am I pissed? Yep, that too
Is this season a failure? I guess.
But, in the end, I'll be pissed tonight, probably not read the paper tomorrow morning, probably not watch ESPN for a day or two until the subject changes............but that's it.
That's it.
If we would have won, I would have been really happy for a few days, would have taken a day off and gone to the parade, would have bought a bunch of championship T-shirts, posters, all that shit. But, within a week or so, back to more important things in life - and I'm happy to say that there are ALOT more important things in life than Cavaliers basketball, as diehard as I am.
Do we need to get better? Sure, and I think we will.
Is LeBron going to leave? I don't know. I don't think so. I hope not.
Try this one on for size: If LeBron couldn't win with this "shitty" supporting cast (who did get their asses kicked in this series) that won 66 games and steamrolled through the first half of the playoffs, then how many titles will he win with that ragtag bunch in NY? David Lee (maybe), Nate Robinson, Chris Duhon, and the boys are a LeBron away from winning a Championship? Oh wait, they may draft Stephan Curry (who couldn't get a mid-major into the dance this year). That will put them over the top.
If he wants to be a legitimate contender year-in, year-out, he'll stay.
Either way, why do so many of you allow your lives to be consumed with if LeBron is going to leave? Somebody please answer me that.
As a fan, I want him to stay badly - I want him to finish his career here. But, if he leaves, he leaves.
He isn't paying my mortgage. Are some of you getting money from him? Am I out of the loop?
It's really sad to see so many people allow this to affect their lives. Honestly, I want some explanations. How does your life improve if LeBron stays? Maybe I'm missing something.
