Lebron is not competing in the dunk contest for the 2nd straight year. Your thoughts? personally i think its ok, while i believe it would be awesome if he did, its good to get some rest and just enjoy the weekend. nate robinson will compete i think he'll be awesome.

People dont believe me when I say that Lebron is not a dunker. He wouldnt win the contest. His dunks are amazing because of the sheer height he gets, but he isnt one to get all those crazy combos in.
I think it's best that he doesnt.

All we would need is for him to go for some twisting 360 and blowout his knee. That has "Cleveland Luck" written all over it. I'd like to see what he has on display but I'd rather see him healthy for the crunchtime stretch

Honestly I think its because its turned into an idiot streetball event. You got Birdman missing like 90 dunks in a row and then Amare's boring ass Steve Nash header dunk.
Its not what it was when we were kids. I think LeBron must not want to associate himself with that one.

If u dont think bron is capable of insane things i dont know what to tell you. He isnt going to showcase those combos in a regular game and he has show the height, the body control ad the strength to win this contest.A Mac aka The Truth said:

I agree with Ty, Lebron has shown he can dunk with style, but he just doesn't like to do it much for some reason. I guess he feels that the dunk contest went to crap and for guys who wants to make a name for themselves.

Im not sure if anyone's seen it, but Lebron did participate in the McDonald's High School Dunk contest thing his senior year. He did some nice stuff there if I remember, most of it really based on height and power. I don't think hes one for 360's and stuff like that.

he had a couple nice dunks but u got the feeling he was saving something possibly for the nba. His windmill was awesome i thought. However h has done more difficult and creative dunks in game. Hell he busted out a between the legs in highschool.Glen Infante said:

but I believe that one, he isn't that kinda dunker and two, like somebody else said he doesnt want to be known as a dunker.
Winning this comp isnt going to do anything for him, losing it would.
