Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah you don’t have to convince me. He makes those playing with him better in an unassuming way. And it’s been that way since he started playing as a kid. It’s just the shitz that it takes a crappy injury and absence to really understand that.

If he had stayed healthy he could have proven it on the court, as it is he’s as useless as Windler

Funny how there’s still a good majority of cavs fans who don’t want to see lebron back on this team. These are the exact games his leadership is needed.

I'm fine if Lebron wants to come back but I do wonder how you shape this roster to fit him and whoever he wants to play with from this current roster. I just don't know how you maximize Lebron at this age and what he actually wants to be as a player. Like does he want to run the point or be a scorer. What position does he want to play.

I think the formula has changed with how you surround him with a roster but I'm not sure anyone knows at this point what the formula should be.

I think the way to maximize LeBron at this point is almost to use him more like Joker as an offensive hub. While he might not be able to physically dominate the way he once could, his passing, vision, and decision making is still as good or better than it ever was. A Mitchell, Strus, LeBron, Mobley, Allen lineup could run some semblance of the Denver offense and be extremely good. If he continues to shoot the 3 as well as he has, he’s an ideal 3/4 for this team offensively, and Mobley/Allen can help cover defensively.

Depending on what had to be given up to get him, I think you’re looking at:

Mitchell, Strus, LeBron, Mobley, Allen

Bench: Okoro, Wade, Merrill, CPJ

Trade: Garland, LeVert, Niang

Primarily looking for a 3/4 wing defender, a backup PG with size, and a bench scorer. Bonus points if the bench scorer is either the PG or the 3/4.

Tired of hearing Donovan take accountability for bad play. Just play well.

But this trend of everyone underachieving in the playoffs is a sign that they’re either unprepared, poorly lead, mentally weak, or some combination.

The lack of energy and immediate collapse when their opponents punch back shows me some mental weakness. But the lack of significant adjustment shows there’s a leadership issue as well.

I do think out of all of them Garland is the weakest of all, but there are coaches that just make things work. I’d give it a year with a new coach without breaking things up.

This team has been a terrible watch all season, in fact this is the first season since 2003 that I haven’t watched every game either live or recorded. I don’t know why or what happened but the team has been a chore to watch. The bipolar nature of this team in particular is extremely frustrating. Getting another first round playoff exit is a mercy killing for this roster. This will hopefully cleanse the team to become something more watchable with the changes that absolutely need to happen.

I guess you didn't watch January or February much?

Yeah it was great stretch, watching them beat up on non-playoff teams. One good win against the clippers, did you see who they beat?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but is JB’s Dad still in the organization? If that’s the reason, we didn’t fire JB after last season, shame on everyone involved.

Seems to be no end to the Cavs folding in tough situations. Mental and
physical all-star softies.

JBBs' offensive plan looks like the aimless frenzy when you kick over
an ant pile.

My own personal belief is that this was one of the major reasons a move wasn’t made last offseason or at some point this year.

Just such a conflict of interest.

I agree. Completely embarrassing and an organizational failure to have him in a front office position.

YALL KNOW WHO ISNT SOFT? THIS GUY
Honestly if we had the true dog still and hadn't traded for Mitchell I think this dog would have showed up and been tenacious at driving to the hoop and elevating our team's IT factor. Mitchell is clearly still hurting right now and not nearly as fast or as explosive as Collin. For what Mitchell is offering in the now, I take Sexton all day with his heart. Now when Mitchell is healthy and on we know Mitchell is our edge but when he isnt....it makes you question the trade. Yes Sexton hurt his knee but he had a fantastic year this year and if it was Sexton and Garland pairing it wasn't pretty but with Marky Mark in the SF slot, we would have the size and defensive coverage to mask deficiencies. Give me the organic team.
