Hey guys i was reading a post on another board(not the cavs website) but they were saying that there is some interest from Indy about Luke but not involving Artest. What they were saying is the possible trade would be Luke for David Harrison and some kind of filler like a pick or cash .....I personally would jump all over this trade because Luke has been a bit disapointing and with newble coming back to fill his void and we still would have Sasha for a younger option and I really like what Harrison brings to the table as a young 7footer with some bulk, I think he is exactly what we need for the future because Z wont be around forever as well as giving us a good back up option giving us more beef on the frontline....im not saying this is def true or anything its jus something I read but I wanted your guys opinion

I would jump all over it too. David Harrison is a big strong body and stands somewhere between 6'10 and 7'0.

Where do we sign?

thats exactly what I was saying....hopefully it is actually true but ya never know untill 10 mins after it happens these days

a reason Harrison may be available is because the lakers may trade for artest and Andrew Bynum may head to Indy in that Trade and he is a younger Harrison type so they could afford to lose Harrison

I haven't seen David Harrison play. Is there a scouting report on him?

I would do this trade as well Bird did have a thing for Jackson at draft time but injuries and poor performance may have dropped him off the radar. Harrison comes across as a wanna be enforcer without too much game to back it up. He has struggled to find time regulary for the Pacers, but a change of scenery may bring something out of him.

You dont generally trade away bigs for an under performing swingmen, but they do need some type of crowd favourite there with all the bad publicity, and with Bird having a soft spot for Luke it is I guess possible.

young big kid out of Colorado University...7'0 280lbs and not great offensive skills but he is athletic for his size ...hoopshype says he needs wrk on his conditioning...I really like his potential and i honestly think he would be a perfect fir for our team

Definately a legit big man which is what we need. Giving up so little in Jackson would be a bonus, but I definately am not holding my breathe.

I like "STRYKER," but I do this deal as well... Harrison played well in O'neal's absence last season... We need more 'beef' up front...

I think he's worth a look. Yeah, he was big in keeping Indiana together last year after the brawl. He, James Jones and Fred Jones were the no-name guys that came in and allowed them to even make the playoffs while Jackson and O'Neal were out.

I'm for it. Luke isn't going to get the time to do anything here so he may as well go and get shot elsewhere. Bird probably still wants him.

This makes Gooden (who I like) even more expendable. For Bigs, we would have Z, Marshall, AV, Henderson, Harrison and Gooden. We aren't getting rid of Marshall and AV is untouchable. We could get something nice for Gooden, like a quality pg or high draft pick to get a pg.

If this Harrison/Jackson trade is true, and we trade Gooden for a pg, we could potentially fill out our roster by the end of the year.
