Man Executes Two Teen Intruders

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
this is why they should allow people t have fully automatic guns. this guy could of just sprayed these kids in one pull of the trigger and took care of it in one go

Yeah, and then one or two bullets goes out his window and hits some guy's house across the street or worse, someone's kids.

Would be so sweet!

At one point did you believe the benefits outweighed the costs here? Or did you not even think about the costs?

A.) Automatic guns would be more accessible to low level criminals. I say low level because organized ones can get them.
B.) People that want to be Segal, Van Dam, Stallone and think they're in the movie Death Wish will kill innocents as Chris already pointed out.
C.) Why would anyone need a automatic for hunting?
D.) Automatics would be easier for terrorists to get.
E.) It would be tougher for law enforcement to take criminals off the street ala more dead cops.

The threat of cutting off someones hand is going to make them stop stealing faster then the threat of killing them.

not sure what hunting has to do with self defense.
while i was joking your counter points are not really valid.

They make the presumption that criminals dont already have automatic weapons or access to them or you make the assumption that while they dnont mind breaking countless laws they will only use automatic weapons if they are legally allowed to do it.

If a terrorist can legally buy a gun they can already legally by a semiautomatic and pop off the limiter. homeowner are already outgunned by terrorist , police and the military as well as criminals.
I did find a study that showed gun control worked but they did not include armed assault and armed robbery,
An interstate comparison of the United States is also quite revealing. All states, some localities, and the federal government have laws concerning weapons, including their sale, possession, manufacturing, importation and use. Examples include bans on machine guns, carrying concealed weapons or sales to felons. Violations of these laws are called "weapons offenses," and they make up about 2 percent of all arrests nationwide. They do not include crimes like armed robbery, armed assault, etc

In 2002 — five years after enacting its gun ban — the Australian Bureau of Criminology acknowledged there is no correlation between gun control and the use of firearms in violent crime. In fact, the percent of murders committed with a firearm was the highest it had ever been in 2006 (16.3 percent), says the D.C. Examiner.

In 2006, assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent.
Sexual assault — Australia’s equivalent term for rape — increased 29.9 percent.
Overall, Australia’s violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
Moreover, Australia and the United States — where no gun-ban exists — both experienced similar decreases in murder rates:

this means the murder rates declined may have been influenced by something else.

The point being if criminals know that people are armed as well as themselves they might be a bit more leery about the crimes they commit.

the logic that making things illegal will keep things out of the wrong peoples hands is pure folly. Especially something like guns that are easy to produce and manufacture. Gun control begins and ends with taking steps to ensure that criminals arent provided weapons legally.

I know gun control doesn't work very well. If you read, I said that it would keep them out of the hands of low level criminals. Not all criminals. Terrorists are organized and just because it's harder for them to get the gun doesn't mean that they can't get it.

Gun control more so protects wanna be Death Wishers from going crazy and killing innocents.

Theres been penty of mass murders done without a firearm. Crossbows, Knives, Arson, fires, explosives. Vehicles those wanna be death wishers are just that. its silly to think. that not having a gun would really deter these psychotic individuals who have no regard for life.

One man a pilot committed suicied with 70 odd passengers aboard.

a person can go out and get stabbed, shot or run over or even have a piano fall over their head. just look at the prisons. murders occur all the time and those are supervised 24 hours a day with the tightest weapon control measures there can be.

now im not opposed to background checks and regulations for manufacturing and selling weapons but inhibiting the peoples right to protect themselves is not the right route to go.

I don't think anybody says it's going to stop people. The guy who shot up a grocery store in Tuscon got caught when he had to stop and reload his gun. It could have been far worse than it was if he pulled out an automatic instead of a pistol.

If he could afford an automatic . he probably wouldnt of been robbing a grocery store

Obviously you don't know anything about that story, he wasn't robbing anything. It was a shooting, a US Senator was shot in the head. The guy was loony tunes, didn't stop him from getting a gun.

and what if he had run them over with a bus. would we need to ban busses?

A cross-bow mass killing? Where did that take place, a Pima indian reservation?

68% of all murders in the US are committed with guns. 0% are committed with busses. I can't find even a single example. Buses are designed for transportation and when used as designs, nothing dies, guns are specifically designed to kill, and their design has evolved over time to make killing easier and easier, and when used as designed, something dies. Training to drive a bus involves training to avoid killing people. Training to shoot guns involves shooting range targets where the bullseye is right on the heart.

People have guns in their homes for "protection" yet people with guns in their homes are more likely to die from gunshots than people without guns in their homes. I believe then number is twice as likely.

I'm confused how arson and fires aren't the same thing. I would like multiple examples of a crossbow mass murder as well as knives ones.

Furthermore, those aren't wanna be Death Wishers, those are psycho paths. Wanna be Death Wishers are people like you that wanna spray the criminal with 20 rounds without considering your surroundings. The house was in a residential neighborhood most likely. Therefore, there's a chance the bullets hit someones outside the perimeter of the home. Maybe the neighbor or their kids. Then is it still a righteous kill to you?

Actually I made a joke then you turned the conversation into gun control.

i even said it was a joke. now you make comments about people like me?

make up your mind either you wanna discuss gun control or you want to discuss this specific case.

if your discussing this specific case. 1. the house was excluded and away from others which is what made it a prime target for the teenagers. 2. The shooter was in a basement and shooting upward. in this specific case staray bullets running around and massacring the population at large is minimal.

why would people use crossbows when they have guns? The point which seems to elude some of you that gun control doesnt keep people from murdering people.

30,000 people die every year from gunshot wounds. there are over 54 million gunowners in the United States. of the 43 million criminal victimizations 1.3 million of them involved firearms.

Im far more concerned about criminals getting grenade launchers, flamethrowers, missile launchers than automatic weapons as far as mass murders.

as of right now people are more likely to get killed in a car accident or suicide than gunfire.

1. Where does it say it was an excluded house in the article? 2.) The shooter was in the basement, but sometimes basements are at ground level. For example if you go to Pennsylvania the ground level floor is usually called the basement. 3.) Even if he were shooting up, it could hit the neighbor on the second floor or their deck. Of course stray bullets hitting a person has a minimal chance of killing them. However, it does happen and we should limit it as much as possible.

That's great that more people die in car accidents. Does that really mean we should not focus on making things more safe other then cars?
