Manny and Thome together again

Pretty deadly. Thome and Garland getting added to an already dangerous Dodgers roster. They also acquired Belliard yesterday. Sounds like a pretty stacked roster to me. Them and the Phillies are poised to make this an interesting postseason.

Ned Colletti is nucking futz. Thome cant play 1B. Back can't handle even one game. Has made this obvious. They just added a situational pinch hitter, and the reasoning given was a comparison to Matt Stairs. But wait- Matt can man a defensive position on the diamond if need be. He can stand in LF or RF if needed. Thome can't do any of that. This makes zero sense.

What amazes me most about this is that the White Sox have given up on their season, but they're not out of it yet! They play Detroit a ton of times yet this season.

To be honest I wouldn't even use Thome as the DH if they made the series. I'd use Manny at DH and put Pierre out in left field.
