Marcus No Dunks Given Morris

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Heh. I got around the paywall this way: when the page blocker came up, I reloaded the page. Before the blocker came up again (you have about a second) I hit CTRL+P for print page. The printable page was not blocked.
You are one crafty dude lol.

Needs to be a regular contributor. He doesn’t have the pressure of the other guys. Doesn’t care about the reputation of last year wasn’t here. Has no contact to live up to. Is older been there and done that. Isn’t afraid of the magic, they’re just a team to beat. I knew he would play loose.

Morris had a very good game. Best game since his first one as a Cav when he went 4-5 from three.

But there's a reason we're his third team this season, and why he was sitting at home when the Cavs called. While he's capable of having those kind of games occasionally, he's going to have more games where he's basically a non-entity, and his slow feet make him a liability on defense. If that three isn't falling, he's a liability on offense too.

At this point, shorthanded as we are and with Niang's shot not falling, he was our best option because he gives us more size that Niang just doesn't have, and is more physical. But it's not like we had this great weapon sitting on the bench that we were just ignoring.

This was probably the right game to roll him out, and it worked. But the reality is that it's unlikely we're going to see a repeat of that performance next game.

Hope he proves me wrong, though.

I'd go with the same starting lineup - after all, it worked and got a lead - and bring Morris in off the bench again. One of them needs to be out there at all times anyway, and 25 minutes is probably as much as you can play him anyway.

The issue is the bench gave up the lead for a reason. We need to start Morris, bring Okoro off the bench where he gets better looks offensively and better match up defensively and have to use Niang for 10-15 minutes.

Assuming both Allen and Wade are out.

How does okoro get better looks on the bench? He had his best game starting where the attention is drawn away from him
