One of the more underrated pitchers in the MLB, congrats.

yeah mlb was playing the 9th inning online. The catch by d wise was serious

Yay good for the White Sox.

Just kidding fuck him and his ugly beard.

I hate baseball...

I still don't understand how people who have the nerve to call soccer boring ... can watch baseball and not fall asleep.

Eight guys standing around, waiting for something to happen ....

Anyway, congrats to Mark, great pitcher.

The Indians always pound this asshat. His career ERA is over a run higher against the Tribe than the rest of MLB.

Love baseball... Baseball is the only sport though that I enjoy going to more than watching on TV...

I have exceptional seats when I go watch the Cavs play, and I still would rather watch it on TV... Same with football..

However, there's nothing better than going to a baseball game on a warm summer's night when your team is competitive and the place is packed full of fans... Great stuff..

As for Mark ?? I love watching him pitch... He's a pitch to contact kinda guy, but he works quickly, and is smart as hell...

Very true. Football is the worst in person though I do enjoy watching the Cavs play in person. But you're right, there is nothing better than summer night ballgames. I went to the Manny bobblehead night at Dodger stadium last night and when he hit that first pitch pinch hit grand slam...yeah go ahead and accuse LA fans of being casual but people went berserk.

Manny takes steroids and the LA fans love him even more, don't understand it.

Fans like Manny... Growing up in LA myself, I knew as soon as he was traded there Manny would be an instant hit..He's an LA kinda guy and the fans relate to his laid back, brush it off style, cause that's the kinda people we are in general...

LA will route for anyone basically, regardless of the circumstance, but it's much easier to like Manny and cheer for him than say if this was Gary Sheffield...

Ever since Mike Piazza left our community, we as baseball fans have never had someone to really cheer for locally.. (I'm a Yankee/Indian fan, but I'm referring to us Angelinos)

People like him because he's funny, laid back and does indeed fit in here. I love him because he was my favorite player growing up and now I get to root for him as a member of the "home team" again. I really could not care less about steroids and I'm a lifelong baseball fan and player. He actually served his suspension and he can still mash, can we say the same for Giambi and the like? Manny has been a great hitter his entire career because of his pure, violent swing. Are some of his numbers steroid inflated? Possibly, but I care more about enjoying watching a guy play than his stats and El Maniaco has always been fun.

Nice to see someone threw a perfect game but on the subject of Manny in LA, Dodgers fans are kind of contradicting themselves for rooting for him after failing a test for masking roids when they would boo the hell out of Bonds when he was on the Giants. But that's how sports works, Giants fans defended Bonds despite a cloud of suspicion over him. I think fans will defend their players even if they cheat as long as they don't break certain laws and help their team win.
