Some of you guys already listed it, but I hope Mayweather takes an absolute beating. I don't watch much boxing, but have seen a lot of the lead up. Every time that dude opens his mouth I want to slap his face. On top of that is his history...Manny should not have even given him the satisfaction of this fight. F him.
Pacquiao seems like a great guy, but I do have a problem with him labelling Mayweather a coward; that's a foul thing to say about another man.
Here comes the controversial statements....
I don't hold Mayweather's conviction of domestic violence against him
as much as others seem to. I would if he raped or killed someone, or cost serious or grave harm to many people who suffered. But in almost every instance of domestic violence, Mayweather paid these women off.
And before anyone thinks I'm being biased, I loved Mike Tyson, until he raped someone. I loved Tupac, until he gang-raped a woman and I simply can't listen to his music anymore and really relax because I can't stop thinking, man this fucking guy is scum.
So yes, I get it, it's foul, it's violence, and it's violence against women!
But how long do we hold that over this guy? He went to jail, he paid out millions, he lost every possible endorsement; he's paid his debt to society and the victim, and then some. You
can't repay a rape, or a murder, you simply can't. But getting busted in the chops and then getting set for life? Sign me the fuck up.
I dunno, for the battered wife or the mother of his two kids who feels trapped in her situation, I feel
far more pity. But for the gold-digging,
admittedly cheating girlfriends, I have a hard time feeling a great deal of sorrow, especially when they walk away paid. For the girl that threw her drink on him in a nightclub, I couldn't care less.
I just think the guy is a sad example of someone who has a lot of problems in life. I don't pity him, but I don't hold hate the man either. I dunno, call me crazy, but I can point to folks who people absolutely love (or at least support) who are responsible for far worse things.
btw.. A friend of mine's ex-husband used to box and boxed on the undercards for a few of Mayweather's fights in Vegas. She tells me all the that Mayweather is a scumbag, and simply a horrible human being. She hates the fucking guy, and says no one likes him and that everyone around him is just using him. So, if you want to know my opinion of him, there it is, because I have no reason to have a contrary opinion to her when she actually interacted with him on more than one occasion.
