One of may favorite series' on the PS will have a working demo for the E3 and it will be working on the PS3 hardware..

Cant wait for the release of this game on the Next Gen system, it will be nuts.

Metal Gear Solid 2 was just an amazing game for the Playstation...I still play that game every now and then.

I'm trying to sell my 360 on Ebay and then just spending another few hundred on a PS3 on Ebay for like 500...

I'm going to get NCAA, Madden, Metal Gear, GTA, and some more shoot em ups, Live...

Whats wrong with your 360?

I'd rather sell it and pay the remainder for a PS3 that has the same games and Blue Ray than to drop 600 on one and let my 360 collect dust.

This game looks good...really good.

GTA though is going to have a bunch of extras on the 360, not the PS3 so...

I'll eventually get a ps3.

But MGS4 is gonna look nice next week!

Target store sells PS3 at $499

We've spent the last hour on the phone calling up random Target stores around the continental United States to nail this story down. What we can say at this point is that certain Target stores do currently have the $499 price on the PS3 (Item# 207230001). Beyond confirmation at these stores, in one case we even have a copy of a person's receipt, dated today, for a PS3 at $499.99. We've even asked while going through the price check process if there is a pattern to the Target computers and why we would be getting different prices at different stores -- there was no adequate answer.

At this point we don't know if this indicates that the price drop may begin this week, or if somebody flipped a switch at the wrong time. We've received reports that certain Circuit City stores have also started selling the PS3 at the $499 price, before their alleged sale next week, but we currently can't confirm that. Even if Sony doesn't announce a PS3 price drop at next week's press conference, it looks like the retailers are moving ahead with one anyway.

but wait......

Konami exec. says Metal Gear Solid may go to other consoles!!!

Konami executive Kazumi Kitaue, head of Konami North America and European ops, dropped a bombshell today saying that Metal Gear Solid 4 may move to other consoles in an attempt to recoup development costs. He also said the PS3 price drop may not turn the ship around. The natural assumption, given the console hardware technology, is that Metal Gear Solid 4 will see its day on the Xbox 360, destroying one of the final feathers in Sony's hat of exclusives.

In regards to the PS3 price cut, Kitaue unleashes the backhand with quickness. "I don't expect a substantial impact ... with $500, you can buy a person computer," Kitaue told Reuters. It's been surprising to see the mainstream media pick up on the $100 price drop without acknowledging that there is a new "better" model at the same price which caused all the calls for a price drop in the first place.

But for gamers, the first acknowledgment that Metal Gear Solid might find its way to other consoles is what's really going to shake things up. Kitaue says, "Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps." Whether those steps are announced this week or if this is some last ditch effort by Konami to force Sony to pony up exclusivity cash, which they say they do not do, is worth wondering about. If MGS goes to the Xbox 360 ... well, all eyes will be on Final Fantasy XIII as the last famous third-party man standing.

This game will be great no doubt but after you beat it in a week, what is there to do with it? I am guessing there isn't multiplayer in it?
