do you guys like the way he is managing the players? I think, as of now, the rotation is perfect. I think Z needs to see more minutes, but I am biased cause he plays on my FBL team. Starting Snow and having DJ comoe off the bench after the midpoint is perfect. Also, the minutes Marshall is seeing will allow him to stay healthy. Man, 80-2 baby!

I really like Brown's rotations. He is utilising Z very well minutes wise. When there is the threat of foul trouble, he rests him knowing we have players who can hold their own. Hughes and James are interchanged so very rarely are they both sitting. Brown plays Drew when he head is in the game, benches him in his day dream games. Snow and Jones are being utilised to perfection. My only gripe is the seconds being given to Sasha. He deserves minutes.

great rotations. And great that the guys already know when they will generally play and how many minutes they will get. That was a criticism of silas when he was let go - that there still was no rotation. With Brown, I knew pretty much who would come in when starting on opening night. The only thing I would tweak rotation wise is I wouldn't have LeBron and Hughes on the bench at the same time except in garbage time.

With Bron and Hughes on the Bench at the same time, we still have a decent squad on the floor:
C:Z
F:Gooden
F:Marshall
G:Jones
G:Snow

Not a star studed line-up, but you get the idea.
Our bench this year could have beaten the starting team before 2003.

Marshall has yet to set foot on the floor at small forward. If James and Hughes have been sitting, Jackson has been at small forward.

the optimal rotation is to keep one in the game at all times.

I don't see how Sasha would get minutes besides taking them from Luke. Luke only gets something like 5-8 quality minutes a night, so I dont think theres that much room for Sasha besides garbage time.

As far as the rotation, I like playing Z only 25-30 mins a night. If you remember last year, Z was out of gas toward the end. Same with Lebron, so reductions in minutes for both will work out well at the end of the year and playoffs

I have no grief at all with Brown's rotations: players know there roles yet he adjusts when a player is hot. In addition he is limiting player's minutes: what more can you ask for?

at the moment, i'm just very happy he has a rotation (unlike silas)

i dont feel enough games have gone by to evaluate how his particular rotations measure up tho

I think we ought to play Luke more against teams with tall points (like san antone). I would like to see a rotation with Luke Hughes James gooden and Z just to see what happens.

Just some quotes;

Luke's losing confidence. He's overpassing, and getting sloppy. He had a totally wide open look at a 3 tonite, and missed it.
And another wide open three with the shot clock winding down. He decided to drive instead and didn't get the layup out in time.
For some reason Luke Jackson has lost confidence in his shot. He has been passing up wiiiiide open threes. While he has become decidely more scrappy on defense bad offense could make him lose his spot in the rotation.
MYoung!
unless he turns it around quick, Luke's going to lose his spot in the rotation. You can tell he's thinking WAY too much, written all over his face. Worried about making mistakes instead of just playing basketball. I don't think he's lost confidence in his shot, I just think he's playing cuatious and that's no way to play basketball.
The problem is that he is incredibly tentative. He has passed up a handful of wide open 3s that have come in the flow of the game. When the ball goes into the paint, then it is kicked out to the arc and swung around to a wide open Jackson, he has to take the shot. He is running into problems because he seems to be going out of his way to avoid shooting. As soon as he gets the ball he is looking to pass and too often ends up trying to thread the needle to a closely guarded player.

And here I was thinking that I was alone.....

Quotes about Lebron seen in this forum

Lebron is the dumbest player in the NBA

Late in games lebrons shot selection often seems puzzling. I think we should just go to jones or marshall in the clutch.

The big issue to me is that LeBron's shot selection has been terrible at times this year. It's poor decision making to jack up off balance 22 footers early in the shot clock which has been happening much too often. The Cavs have many more offensive weapons this year and need to run offense since a good shot can be had almost every time down the floor.

I've commented a gew times alrady in this, in posts I've made ....I love the way Mike Brown's player rotations ...especially after watching what Paul Silas deemed player rotation. Granted Brown has alot more to work with, but, in my opinion ...Paul Silas' poor handling of the bench played a strong role in the bench never being developed last year. Outside of three key players, nobody else on the team really knew game in and game out exactly where they fit within Silas' ever changing game plan. This year, it's been clear and consistent ...and in concurrance with Karma ...his use of Z is absolutely perfect..and will likely keep him productive into the later years of his contract.
