Mike Wallace to Browns?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I understand Jackson comes with attitude problems, but he is exactly the kind of receiver we need (assuming we get a QB with a strong arm). I would be willing to gamble on keeping his attitude in check. There have been lots of receivers with attitude problems who have been very productive.

Do we think the Eagles are really franchise tagging him? If not, add me to the list of those who believe he's be a GREAT help to this offense!

Jackson really isn't the type of receiver they need.

He's not consistently productive, he's got hands issues (which clevelanders are often up in arms about).

He's fast, that's about it.

You're talking about a guy who quit on his team BEFORE he got paid. Usually it's the other way around... a Haynesworth-style "bust my ass" for a contract year and then before the ink has dried on a new deal, he's hibernating during the off-season and half-assing it the rest of the time because it's so much easier than trying to get better and play at a Pro Bowl level. A guy like that is a huge risk to give any real long-term money to because if he bailed before he got paid, who knows how bad it'll get after? Having the right skillset means nothing if there isn't any effort behind it. Oh, and he's been called a locker room cancer too.

If we can get him under incentive based terms then whatever because that minimizes our risk but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. Now... throw in the fact that Philly will likely tag him meaning we'll have to give him a bloated contract AND give up draft picks for him.

Fuck NO.

If Jackson is a malcontent with Mike Vick, Andy Reid, and LeSean McCoy what the fuck is he going to do with Colt, Pat and Montario Hardesty?

Throw passes, run the ball, call plays, and coach himself?

From someone that lives in Eagles country - Jackson is a shit head, a pile of shit and overhyped. Guy just runs straight. Nothing special and not worth the money that he will want. Not to say he wouldn't be the best WR on the team, but that isn't saying much.

Thought I'd post it here because I don't really know where else it fits..

For all those wanting Bowe, he's probably gonna get tagged now. The Raiders are having cap issues just like the Steelers and they had to release their top corner (Stanford Routt) who the Chiefs grabbed up. It was thought they'd be using their tag on Brandon Carr who had a really good season but now they'll probably let him walk and tag Bowe. They need Bowe more than Carr since they already have Flowers+Routt which is a nasty combo along with Eric Berry at safety when he returns next year.

FWIW- I read somewhere Michael Huff, Aaron Curry, and possibly Kam Wimbley could be cut from the Raiders too.

I would love Wimbley or Huff. I wasn't a fan of trading Wimbley to begin with.

Wimbley would have been on the team had Jauron been the D coordinator. He was traded because he doesn't fit in a 3-4.

Yea, I understand. Just wasn't a fan of trading our only pass rusher at the time. But I understood the logic of it.

I would gladly wanna bring back Wimbley and if we got Hightower at 22 we'd be set on defense

Wimbley is such a scrub. The dude is so one dimensional its insane. He gets up the field and rushes the passer. IS ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS stopping the run. No matter what he's always looking to rush at the passer.

Sure, TO had some attitude problems, like getting pissed when he wasn't utilized enough, or getting mad when he felt his QB was quitting on his team.

Jackson's issues are effort. TO and Moss gave concerted effort, and played hard. They just bitched too much to the media, and people hated their outspoken attitudes. When TO got upset, he'd stage workouts in his driveway. When Jackson gets upset, he jogs routes. Huge difference. It makes sense to take a flier on a guy who seems too emotionally competitive, not a guy who's willing to quit playing if things don't go his way.

correct me if Im wrong but isnt hightower being graded out as a 2nd-3rd rounder now?

(assumes we are talking about donta)
