Dumb question: whatever happened to Weglarz?

Don't know, but in the 5-6 times I saw that guy play he was terrible. He struck out twice every single time. Not sure if it was just a coincidence, but he definitely didn't win me over.

Pomeranz looks..... uhhhh.... funny in this picture. His right arm and whole body just don't look right. Glad to hear he had a great debut.

Is that Jim Abbott?

Hurt right now.

As always, it seems....

Had a great year last year, looked like a totally different player. But, again, he was done in July because of injury.

Yeah I think he tore his MCL - won't be back till mid-summer or something.

I was really hoping he would be insurance if Brantley or LaPorta didn't pan out. I realize he has mostly played LF but can't imagine it would be hard to turn him into a 1B.

Remember when all we had were 1B / DH types in our minors? What happened to all those guys? Weglarz is always hurt, Mills flamed out, Brown is Garko, we are out of power hitting 1B guys.

You always say this, but he had a pretty good year last year.

What happened to Alex White? He hasn't pitched at all for Columbus, it seems.

Notes from 4/14....

- Grady went deep in his second AB for Columbus last night
- Jeanmar Gomez picked up a 7.0 complete game shutout in the first game of the doubleheader, 1-0 win on Grady's blast.
- Putnam 2.0 scoreless to pick up a save in game two.

- Scott Barnes tossed 7.0 shutout innings, walking 0 and striking out 10 to pick up a win....1.64 ERA after two starts, finally looks like his command is starting to come together.

When can Lonnie come up without becoming a Super Two? Not that I'm trying to hurry Hannahan out, I just want to know when he could come up if necessary.

Usually teams don't stray from the June 1 deadline.

It's really a subjective thing I believe though. No set date assures you of avoiding it.

Grady also struck out a few times as well. It's still a big part of his game. A part I'm NOT looking forward to at the top of the Indians batting order.

I am with you that I do not want Grady leading off, but at this point, I will accept just about ANYTHING they decide to do with Grady as long as it means I get to see a lot less of Kearns, Buck, and Duncan.

Did the Indians draft Scott Barnes or did they get him in a trade?
