Mo Speights to OKC trade idea

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
And that's different than the Cavs how? The idea was that the reason they didn't spend any money on "arena upgrades" was that they don't need to change a brand new arena. My whole point was that Orlando's not in a position where they need to dump salary, especially if doing so means putting their rebuild on hold by giving away lottery picks.

The statement was that the Cavs were inferior in their capacity to spend money. which is not the case. Cavs did not need to dump salary and never were forced to dump salary as an organization.

Please quote this "statement", becuase I'm sure it doesn't exist. The only thing I commented on was how Orlando will not need to drop players/salary to avoid mediocrity/get under the salary cap. And even if they were over the salary cap, their owner can afford any luxury tax incurred and that they're not going to sell their high lottery pick.

would hate to trade Speights but if Grant feels he cant sign him. How about Speights 2013 2nd clev 2013 2nd orl for Jackson, pj3, and lamb plus okc pick(28-30). okc would likely rather have 2 2nds than a guaranteed contract for late 1st. They may have plans in the future for lamb and pj3 but dont seem to be in their current plan this year as they played little and have spent time in the NBDL. Speights would add to their championship drive and could be let go next year if needed or resigned-- gives them flexability. Think the salary match-close enough. Clev would be adding some badly needed depth and would likely help with the tank this year.
