In a marginally related post, since I am moving to California next week, this is probably my last chance to go to the Q and see the Cavs tonight for a long time (I have no family east of the Missippippi). I really hope they get a win. Maybe I can schedule my dissertation defense during the 2017 finals, or they end up playing the Clips in the Finals this year. : ) There really isn't a more fun team to root for, despite the angst over the years.

Lauren of the Cavs PR called me today! Amazing. She is going to send Mom a surprise package. Mom is so looking forward to watching the game on Monday night. She told me she is not worried about us even though Kevin Love is out. She still thinks we will win it all !! I have to believe my Mom.

Well that's frickin' awesome. Please let us know the contents of said package. I am happy that this worked out this way, and it's very cool of the Cans to hook that up! Karma will carry us to victory tonight!

A VERY nice letter from the Cavs that said they found out she was a huge fan. They wished her well and wants her to continue to be a fan into the future.

It's noteworthy considering the backlash the PR department received regarding the video, and that the Cleveland Cavaliers truly are a Class organization. They didn't have to do a damn thing for Mom. She's one in a billion Cavs fans out there. They reached out to her. They made her a very, very happy lady.

Again: Cavs win 4 games to 1. Mom says so.
