Breaking News: Cavaliers and Lakers trade siginificant pieces to there teams

barkley.jpg

Ernie:It is rumored and seems to be true that the Lakers have traded Vladimir Radmanovic, Derek Fisher Trevor Ariza, and a second round pick in the 2010 draft for Ben Wallace, Jawad Williams, and Tarrence Kinsey

Chuck: This is just a turrible, turrible trade for the Lakers. They gave up way to much for a rapidly declining role player, a young 6'9 guy with no potential, and a SG who has yet to prove himself. This is just turrible.

Kenny:I actually think this might benefit the Lakers this year. I personally think Derek fisher is an over rated system PG, while vladimir radmanovic is a horrible Defensive player who can only shoot the wide open 3. The Lakers get a great defensive player to back up Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol in Ben Wallace, He can also mentor Bynum on how to play defense effectively.

Chuck: KENNY! IS YOU CRAZY MAN! THIS TRADE DOES NOT HELP THE LAKERS WHAT SO EVER!

Ernie: Calm Down Chuck.

Chuck: WHY IS EVERYONE ALWAYS INTERRUPTIN ME WHEN I AM TRYIN TO SAY SOMETHIN IMPORTANT.

Kenny: Last time i've seen you this mad is when I stole your Crispy Kreme Donut.

Chuck: THIS IS NOT FUNNAY. This trade could ruin the chemistry on the Lakers as they sign a player who was a Cancer with the Bulls when he didn't get as much playing time as he wanted, and theres no way he is getting over 25 minutes on this stacked Lakers team.

Kenny: C'mon Chuck, you know as well as i do he wasn't a cancer. Losing teams and the media in those cities always have to find someone to blame for there failures. Ben Was just the one who had to fall on the sword because he was vastly overpaid and on the decline.

Ernie: Alright enough with you two, lets compare these players.

Ernie:We have a great little surprise for our viewers, Kobe is here to talk to us about this blockbuster trade.

Kenny: Hey Kobe

Chuck: Hows it goin Kobe

Kobe: Good to see you guys

Chuck: Now Kobe, are you as mad about this trade as i am?

Kobe:Not really, This trade really improves our need----

Chuck: KOBAY, you must be joking me. Now i know you are one of the best players of all time, but how can you be happy about this trade? It gets rid of one of the best veterans on the team, a young athletic defender, and a spot up 3 point shooter who can rack up the points.

Kobe: We have no lack of scoring, you know what i'm saying? We need more defense to get to where we want to be, and that is holding up a championship trophy. Nothing else will satisfy us, not a Western Conference Championship, not losing in the Finals in 7 games, nothing.

Kenny: I see your point Kobe, and i agree. Defense wins championships, and Chuck should know that, OH WAIT! AHAHAH!

Ernie:HEHEHHEHE

Chuck: Well unlike Kenny i was actually a pretty good player.

Kenny: *holds out championship ring* Bet you wish you had this bling huh Chuck. Don't be jealous

Chuck: Man... Kenny you are one ugly bald headed man--

Ernie: Enough enough, lets get back on subject. Kobe, say in a couple of sentences how you feel about this trade.

Kobe: I really think this helps our chance at winning a championship. I appreciate what all the guys who used to be here did for us, but we needed more. I look forward to Big Ben helping us on the defensive side, and Tarrence Kinsey helping also. We needed this, and i couldn't be more happy.

Ernie: Alright thanks Kobe. Be sure to tune in next time on Inside The NBA with Charles, Ernie, and Kenny

Los Angeles-9

If the blockbuster trade helped LA, it sure didn't show this game. The Lakers had to overcome a 11 point deficit within the last 4 minutes to even get into the position to possibly win the game. Even so, Kobe got double teamed and had to force up a shot with 2 seconds left that got blocked, Greg Oden coralled the rebound and the Lakers didn't have enough time to foul.

The Lakers held there own in every statistical category besides second chance points and bench points. The Blazers scored 16 second chance points while LA only had 4, and they Lakers got totally demolished by the other teams bench. 4 players in double figures helped LA, but only 7 players managed to score over 2 points, which is unacceptable. This was also a game of 3 point prowess, the teams combined for 22 of 51 from the 3 point stripe.

Brandon Roy led the Blazers with 24 points on 9-21 shooting. He didn't heat up until the 4th where he had 11 of his 24 points. Greg Oden totally dominated the Lakers on the board, scoring second chance points and tipping balls out to his team mates.

THe Lakers will play the Clippers in a back to back tomorrow. They must be prepared, luckily none of the Lakers are getting forced to play too much minutes.

This was just my generic game review. if you have any suggestions tell me. Kinda hurried this up cus the Basketball game starts in 5 minutes.

Stuart Scott: My sources tell me that the Lakers have just signed 24 year old free agent Dee Brown as Phil Jackson is not satisfied with Jordan Farmar's Progression and wants to bring in some competition. A lot of people approve of this signing, and some don't, lets ask our own Greg Anthony of his opinion.

Greg Anthony:Stu, I understand the want to put pressure on your current PG if he is not performing, I really do, but there was no reason at all to sign this guy. He is 24 and he has shown no progress in his short NBA career. Plus, he has almost no experience

Stuart Scott: Cmon Greg, are you telling me that a guy like Dee Brown who was straight ballin in college and led the Illinois fighting Illini can't make it in this league, he averaged 14.2 points, and 5.8 assists in college, those are some big stats from a guy playing in the toughest division in College Basketball while also playing against top competition in said division.

Greg Anthony
: I understand he was a great player in college, but college success does not equal success in the NBA. Especially for a small guy like Dee Brown who is probably shorter than he is listed at 6', and only 180 pounds. Players in the NBA can push him around like a rag doll, I just don't think he is worth it. He also has an average at best mid range game which is the downfall for so much athletes looking to make it into the NBA. Also, Jordan Farmar could respond to this pressure negatively, you never know

Stuart Scott:If a player responds negatively to pressure are you sure you want him on your team? The fact is that this guy has shown he can straight up ball when playing against great players and under great pressure. It would be a risk not to try to sign a guy like this.

Greg Anthony:Fair enough Stu, lets let his Scouting report do the talking.

If anyone was not sure whether or not Kobe Bryant was the best closer in the game, they are sure now. He scored 11 points in the 4th quarter and hit the game winning 3 point shot with 1.7 seconds left. He finished the game going 14-28 from fg range, 4-8 from the 3 point line, and 5-6 in free throws. He also played great defense and dished out 7 assists. Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol combined or 32 points and 22 rebounds barely out doing the Clippers front line of Marcus Camby and Zach Randolph. Ben Wallace had another strong showing on the boards with 10 rebounds. Jordan Farmar had another shameful showing by just scoring 3 points in 28 minutes(Estimating if the game was 48 minutes). he only shot 1-4 from the field and didn't get to the line at all. He also let a rookie have a great game on him. Dee Brown did not have a very good game either getting only 1 point, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in 14 minutes playing time. He did control the tempo of the game though. He also may have been affected by the flu which has made him questionable for the Denver game(day to day)

This marked another low percentage scoring night for L.A, they only shot 40-91 which is 43%. They also only shot 10-28 from 3s and it would be a lot lower if they didn't make a late run. The Clippers out shot LA going 40-88, but only going 5-21 from the 3 point line. The Lakers got rocked by the opposing team's bench for the second game in a row, the Clippers had 43 bench points against only 18 by the Lakers. The saving grace for the Lakers was definitely the fact that they caused the Clippers to turn the ball over 14 times.

All the Clipper players basically had a good night from the field except for Baron Davis, who went 4-15 from FG range and 1-9 from the 3 point line. he also made the Clippers go cold in the end of the game because of his bad shooting. The young rookie Eric Gordon showed why he was picked 7th in the 2008 draft, he scored 24 points, got 7 rebounds, and passed out for 4 assists all while getting 3 steals for his team. Marcus Camby did not look like his former DPOY self getting dominated by Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol.

The Lakers have 2 days to prepare to face Chauncey Billups and Carmelo Anthony as they battle the high tempo Nuggets.

A 115-105 victory is the exact type of victory a Hall Of Fame coach would want right? Wrong, especially when you go into the 4th quarter down by 9 points. The Lakers have lost the 1st quarter battle in 2 of there first 3 games, and you could tell Phil Jackson was giving it to them at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Lakers built a comfortable lead in the 4th by doing what they should have been doing since day 1, playing inside out. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum facilitated the offense in the 4th and tore the Nuggets weak defense apart. The Lakers are happy for the time being, but there are some serious questions to be asked. Jordan Farmar is only averaging 5 points and 5 assists in 28 minutes a game, and is letting opposing PG's destroy him off of the pick and roll. Dee Brown is looking more enticing game by game, he scored 8 points on 3-5 shooting in 15 minutes against the Nuggets, and also had 2 assists. When will the bench start contributing? Sasha Vujacic the guy who is supposed to score from the perimeter is only averaging 4.7 PPG on 23% shooting. The only guy who has been consistent off of the bench is Ben Wallace, he is averaging 8 rebounds and 3 points per game in only around 24 Minutes. Even he needs to step up his defense though, as the Lakers have been dominated by the opposing teams main big so far this season.

Today was a much better day for the fundamentals that Phil Jackson is trying to instill in this veteran team. The Lakers were +12 on the boards and had 30 assists. They still could not control the game though with 16 turnovers and numerous charging fouls. After that they only had 11 free throw attempts and only converted on 4 of them. It was obvious that the Lakers were not happy with the referees, but that is no excuse, the referees do not make you miss the free throws when you get the chance to take them. One thing Phil Jackson can be happy about is his teams 3 point defense. The last 2 games opponents have gone 13-49 from the 3 point line.

Nene had an improved game in Carmelo Anthony's absence(I don't know why the hell he didn't play). He had an efficient 27 points on 13-22 shooting. He also got 15 rebounds and made his 3 fouls count as he was not afraid to play physical. Chauncey Billups had possibly one of the worst shooting nights in NBA history going 2-22 from the field and 1-13 from the 3. Even with his 13 assists he still had a horrible game. It was not for lack of driving to the basket though, he beat Jordan Farmar all game, and had open 3's, he was just not getting foul calls and knocking down his shot. J.R Smith showed why he is considered one of the best streak scorers in the NBA. He heated up and just assaulted the Lakers in the 3rd quarter for 15 points. He was held in check for the rest of the game though, scoring only 8 points.

The Lakers have a nice long rest before they have another game with the Clippers in 4 days. Phil jackson has hinted at changing the starting lineup a bit, we will just have to see what happens.

AhmadRashad-1.jpg

Ahmad Rashad: Hello everyone, we are here to provide you with all the news in the league that is important, could effect your team, and could effect your fantasy team as well. We have expert number cruncher Rick Kamla with us.

Rick Kamla: Thank you Ahmad, Fantasy is my thing, and there is a lot of news in the league that could make a big difference, in your fantasy league.

Ahmad Rashad: Well lets get to it then shall we? One of the Biggest Injuries so far was when Kevin Durant broke his hand after falling down awkwardly after a layup in the MilWaukee game. He was initially expect to be out 4-6 weeks but he has been bumped down to 2-4. What does this mean for the Thunder and the fantasy world.

Rick Kamla: Well Ahmad you must remember that Kevin Durant is the best player on the Thunder, and his coaches were saying how much he progressed over the off season. This Broken hand could totally ruin his rhythm in his jump shot long after he comes back. For Fantasy, I would look to find someone to dump Durant on ASAP, I believe he will still be a shot chucker when he comes back, but not a shot maker.

Ahmad Rashad: Some other significant Injures are Milwaukee's Dan Gadzuric who has a strained achillies and is expected to be out 1 to 2 weeks. Erick Dampier who separated his shoulder fighting for a rebound in the Mavericks game at Minnesota, he is expected to be out 1-2 weeks. Young Point Guard Javaris Crittenton Sprained his wrist and is expected to be hurt and not be back to full strength for 2-4 weeks, he will try to play though. Last but not least, Chris Anderson dislocated his finger and the high energy player will be out 1-2 weeks.

Rick Kamla: Your getting me all sad talking about those injuries, Lets talk about the real exciting stuff, the Trades, Rumors, and Transactions

Ahmad Rashad:No Trades going on besides the big one that has been dissected by us already. There are some interesting signings and Rumors though. The Nuggets have signed Alonzo Mourning to a 1 year 2.39 Million dollar contract. The Bobcats have signed PG Shaun Livingston to a 1 year 5.59 million dollar contract, and the KIngs have signed... wait, I don't think i can pronounce it, Er-San Ill-y-sova to a 1 year 2.60 million dollar contract with the teams option to keep him in 2009 for 2.86 Mil. What do you think about these Rick?

Rick Kamla: The Alonzo Mourning deal makes the most sense in the world for the Nuggets, but i don't know how it makes sense for Alonzo. The Nuggets are not a contender in my eyes, and Alonzo is likely going to be the lone wolf playing defense for them. I am happy for Shaun Livingston for getting just a luxurious contract, but this makes no sense for the Bobcats. They already have it etched in stone that Raymond Felton is going to be the starter, and D.J Augustin is going to be the backup for that team. Not to mention Shaun Livingston is not much of an improvement over Sean Singletary who is also there. To the Final signing of Ersin Illyasova, I love this signing. The Kings only had one true SF on the roster before this, and you could ask whether Donte Greene would be better suited playing the PF position at 6''11. This solidifies there team and gives them a young prospect with lots of potential.

Ahmad Rashad: Nice insight Rick. Now to the rumors. There has been more rumors in the NBA than in a High school girls locker room, but lets focus on the main ones. It is rumored that the Hornets are trying to get rid of recently signed Veteran James Posey, and that teams like Utah, Houston, Orlando, and Sacramento are interested in him. Also, talented rookie Jeff Green is possibly being shopped around. Rumor is, the Blazers have already offered Rudy Fernandez for him. Teams like Houston, Minnesota, and memphis are also interested. What do you think Rick?

Rick Kamla: If it is true that the Hornets are trying to trade James Posey I have to challenge the Hornets Organizations intelligence. You just got this guy to make big shots in the playoffs, and you are going to trade him away already? The Jeff Green trade also makes no sense, the Thunders are trying to rebuild, why trade one of your best rookies who has also developed chemistry with Kevin Durant.

Ahmad Rashad: finally to the players who have started the season on fire, lets take a look at the players of the week.

Eastern Conference
Lebron James
lebron-james-dunk-1.jpg

@Boston-26 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists
Vs Charlotte-34 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks
@New Orleans-28 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, 6 steals, 2 blocks

Western Conference
Kobe Bryant
KOBE.jpg

Vs Portland-34 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals
@LAC-37 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals
@Denver-28 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists

Rick Kamla: Wow, these 2 guys are just spectacular. The 2 best players in the NBA without a doubt in my mind. People said Kobe was on the decline, but he has showed up looking like he was 25 again these first 3 games. Lebron James is just an overall monster, he can pass, rebound, shoot, dunk, play a little D, he is just a monster. He will be the best player in the league by next year no doubt in my mind.

Ahmad Rashad: Thanks Rick. This marks the end of this episode of NBA TV News, tune in next time.

The i'm lovin it stat of the game
Bench Points
LAL-39
LAC-26

This is not the start the Lakers and head coach Phil Jackson envisioned after getting to the finals last year. The 3-1 record is nice, but the record does not show you how much the Lakers have been struggling. The Lakers have had to out score there opponents in the 4th quarter every game to even get close to winning. "If you want to be a championship team, you have to be able to separate from your opponents, not let them keep coming back, or the other way around. You can't expect to win games against great teams if you can barely beat non elite teams", is what Phil Jackson had to say in his post game interview.

If you look at the box score you will see lots of flashy numbers for the Lakers, but no one on the team played good defense. Kobe bryant had a great overall game but had his struggles scoring efficiently, he shot just 11-27 from the field and 3-11 from the 3 point line, he did shot 5-5 from the free throw line though. Pau Gasol had a phenomenal game scoring 24 points on just 15 shots and grabbing 15 rebounds while protecting the rim with 5 blocks. Lamar Odom is finally living up to expectations, he scored 21 points on just 7 shots. Good 3 point shooting is something that the Lakers expect of the Sasha Vujacic every game, and they finally got it. He scored 14 points on 4-5 3 point shooting. Dee Brown got the start over Jordan Farmar and produced big, he scored 13 points on 11 shots and dished out 12 assists with just 2 turnovers. Farmar played 14 minutes and almost had 0 across the board, and would have if not for a fluke assist with the shot clock running down. The big trade acquasition Ben Wallace was silent, and didn't play that much. He had 4 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 1 block and steal in 22 minutes.

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers won almost all of the Team stats. The lakers shot 14-31 from 3 point range, compared to the Clippers 9-25. The lakers were +6 in the Paint, and +13 in bench scoring. The Clippers were +5 in second chance points, and the Lakers were +6 in Fast Break points. The thing that kept the Clips in the game was without a doubt the fact that the Lakers turned the ball over 15 times compared the Clippers 7.

Baron Davis redeemed himself for his horrible performance on the second game of the season. He scored 25 points and had 16 assists while not turning the ball over once. The Lakers got dominated by another Front court while the combo of Zach Randolph, Marcus Camby, and Chris Kaman combined for 49 points, 30 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 4 blocks. Eric Gordon had a good game, until you look at his shooting. He shot 4-16 from the field while only scoring 14 points. If he would of shot even 40% it is likely that the Clippers would have defeated the Lakers.

In 2 days the Lakers will face off against Yao Ming, Tracy Mcgrady, and the Rockets in Staple Center. That is sure to be a good game.

aldridge_140_061218.jpg

Andre Aldrige: Welcome to NBA week in review on NBA TV, your one spot stop for NBA action. I am here with my buddy Chris Webber. So Chris, this was a pretty dull week trade and signings wise.

Chris Webber:Yeah it usually doesn't get hectic in this department until much later in the season when teams know what they have, and know what they need.

Andre Aldridge: A lot of injuries though, something you hate to see. Stars were falling left and right. Here are some of the most important injuries. Baron Davis(1-2) apparently dislocated his his right index finger in practice the day after they had a blowout of the Dallas Mavericks.

Chris Webber: It especially surprised me that Baron is still going to try to play, that is a very hard injury to play with especially for a guard, this might worsen his cold start from the field

Andre Aldridge: Yeah it is going to be tough for the Clips not having there best player healthy. Three other damaging injuries are the ones to Roger Mason(1-2), who strained his hamstring in practice after the Spurs started the season off on a 6 game winning streak, he will still attempt to play. Mike Bibby(1-2) broke his nose while driving to the basket in the Hawks 99-96 win against OKC, he will still try to play. Mehmet Okur1-2) has had a great start to the season, it is in jeopardy after he suffered a bruised sternum in New Yorks crushing 105-88 defeat of the Jazz.

Chris Webber: This reminds me of the old days, the 80s and 90s when you played if it was at all possible. You knew your team needed you, so you fought through the pain and played as much as possible. It is a good feeling to see toughness return to the NBA and its players, especially to players who are not considered tough.

Andre Aldridge: Lets change course for a minute and look at a popular trade rumor that is going around. It seems as if Pheonix is shopping Grant Hill around the league, and tons of teams have interest.

Chris Webber: A veteran who can shoot the jumper and the 3, While still being able to play defense and have a great overall game? This is a championship teams dream. Grant Hill would be of value to any team in the league that signed him with his leadership and skills, even if he is past his prime.

Andre Aldridge: That's about it for the news. Now for the most popular section of the segment lets look at the Players of the week.

This was the kind of win Phil Jackson wanted. The Lakers controlled the tempo for the whole game, and they did not go through any long streaks where they could not make a basket. The Lakers controlled the boards, caused 16 turnovers, and dominated more than the scoreboard can tell.

Kobe Bryant was as solid as ever. He played great defense on Tracy Mcgrady, and facilitated the Lakers offense. He was helped by Pau Gasol who had his second strong game in a row with 25 points and 8 rebounds, he also helped defend the paint with 2 blocked shots as well. Andrew Bynum has been on a bit of a cold streak, he shot 5-19, but contributed in other ways. He had 15 rebounds and 2 steals. Lamar Odom and Luke Walton are packing a great overall punch, they combined for 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Ben Wallace finally had a good scoring game with 10 points, while also racking up the rebounds with 7, in only around 22 minutes. Jordan Farmar can get used to his spot on the end of the bench, because Dee Brown sure as hell is not gonna give it up to him. Dee Brown scored 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists while playing great defense.

If you look at the team stats, you might think the Rockets were the Thunder. The Cavaliers out did Houston in every category except 3 point shooting and blocks. The Lakers were relentless in attacking the basket which is why they scored 70 points in the paint.

The Rockets only really dependable player this game was Yao Ming. Who had 22 points, 22 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Which is one of the best games of his career. Tracy Mcgrady scored 16 points, but it was on 17 shots, which is not efficient. Brent Barry had a out standing game if you go by how much minutes he played. He only played 8 minutes but scored 13 points on 6-6 shooting.

The Lakers play the Mavericks and Hornets consecutively in 2 days, both away games. A very tough stretch, the Lakers have to take this win, but not get too excited. There is still a lot of s
eason to play

If someone would of told you that Pau Gasol would of strained his abdomen in within first 6 minutes of the game, that andrew Bynum would rack up 2 fouls within the first 3 minutes of the 1st quarter, and that the Lakers would still win. Well you would call that person crazy. Kobe Bryant wouldn't. He scored 21 points in the 4th quarter and 50 in the game. He shot 16-32 from the field, 1-7 from 3 point range, and 17-19 of his free throws. He just dominated, also having 9 assists and 3 steals. Dee Brown keeps pushing Jordan Farmar further out of Phil Jacksons mind. He played 35 minutes and had a great game. He racked up 17 points on only 8 shots, and had 6 assists with 3 steals. The Small Forward combo of Luke Walton and Lamar Odom continues to impress. They combined for 30 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Andrew Bynum only played around 25 minutes because of foul trouble, but he was one of the few players playing defense, he had 5 blocks and 6 rebounds, not to mention 10 points on 5-6 shooting. Reliable hasn't been a word you would have described Ben Wallace with the last few years of his career, but thats what he has been with the Lakers. He had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Pau Gasol had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block in his short amount of playing time.

The Lakers got demolished on te boards, mostly because they had to play small with Pau Gasol missing most of the game. They let the Mavericks get 12 offensive rebounds, and 43 overall compared to the Lakers 31. The Lakers racked up 19 blocks and steals combined, compared to the Mavs 17. The fast break wasn't featured by either team but the Lakers were still more effective, they had 17 compared to the Mavericks 8. THe Lakers also shot higher percentages from the 2, 3, and made more free throws than the Mavericks despite the Mavs going 24-26.

The trend that the Lakers have of holding the other teams point Guard, shooting Guard, and Small forward to horrible games, but letting the opponents big men dominate. Jason Kidd, Josh Howard, and Jerry Stackhouse combined for 11-42. Jason Terry was on the only effective Back court player going 7-13 and 18 points. Brandon Bass, Ryan Hollins, and Dirk Nowtizki combined for 17-28 from the field and 41 points. They also combined for 25 rebounds.

The Lakers will have to play without Pau Gasol for between 2 to 4 weeks, which is not good because the Lakers play the Hornets, Pistons, Bulls, Suns, and Nuggets for there next 5 games. Tomorrow the Lakers will face off against the Hornets in New Orleans, they might need Kobe Bryant to revert to his 2005-2006 self to keep his team winning.

If this is any sign of things to come while Pau Gasol is still injured the Lakers have to be worried. They got dominated in every facet of the game. Very few players showed up tonight for the Lakers. Andrew Bynum had one of the best games of his young career with 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 blocks. He took 29 shots to get those 31 points though, and only made 13. Kobe Bryant had an average game by his standards. He shot 50% from the field, but he had more turnovers than assists. Ben Wallace filled in well having to play more than 31 minutes in Pau Gasol's absence, he had 10 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. He also held Tyson Chandler to 5-13 shooting along with Andrew Bynum. Those are the only players who contibuted to this effort. The rest of the players combined went 2-14 from the field, with 3 assists.

The only positive about the Lakers defense was how many turnovers they caused. 18 is how many times Hornets players turned the ball over, while they also got there shot blocked 13 times. The Hornets destroyed the Lakers in every other aspect of the game. They were +11 on rebounds, +9 on bench points, +11 in assists, and +2 in second chance points. The Lakers need to fix there rebounding if they have any hope of getting to the finals.

Chris Paul will always be the leader of the Hornets as long as he is still on the team, but that doesn't mean other people can't contribute. Morris Peterson came out of no where and had 24 points on 10-18 shooting, in just a little bit over 30 minutes of action. David West and Tyson Chandler combined for 27 points and 27 rebounds. Chris Paul was his usual double double self, he had 12 points and 10 assists even though he took 15 shots to get there.

The Lakers go back home to face Detroit in 2 days. The Pistons are currently 4-3

Andrew Bynum has gotten better every year in the league, and this year seems to be no different. This has been one of his best 2 game stretches is not his best. Andrew shot 15-24 from the floor, and dominated the second quarter in which the Lakers really got out ahead. He has stepped up big in Pau Gasols leave. Kobe Bryant has been the most consistent player this season next to Lebron James. He has scored over 20 points and shot over 40% in every game this season. In this game particularly he shot 10-14 from the field, 3-5 from the 3 point stripe, and 4-4 from the FT line. Ben Wallace continued helping out while Pau is out. He had a near double double and 4 assists with great defense on Rasheed Wallace. Dee Brown only scored 4 points, but had 7 assists, unfortunately that was accompanied by 7 turnovers. Jordan Farmar was an effective 6 points and 2-3 from the field, both 3's.

Offensive rebounding has been piss poor for the Lakers this year. They only had 1 offensive rebound, but still were able to hand the Pistons on the boards because of how well they shot. They went 43-71 from the field, 10-17 from the 3 pt line, and 17-20 from the FT line. The score probably would of been more outrageous if the Lakers hadn't turned the ball over 17 times. Some other important team starts were that the Cavs had 20 fast break points compared the Detroits 16, and had 12 more bench points than the Pistons

Detroit had 6 players in double figures, but no one had a standout game. Allen Iverson had a nice 19 point 9 assist game on 6-17 shooting. The big front line of Kwame Brown and Rasheed Wallace combined for 22 points and 18 rebounds. Rondey Stuckey had a game similar to AIs with 13 points and 9 assists, but on much more efficient shooting, 5-7 to be exact.

The Lakers will face off with the exciting rookie Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bull at the staple center after three full days of rest.

Ernie Johsnon: Welcome to Inside the NBA on TNT. We just got done seeing the 2 exciting games between the Hornets and Rockets, and the game between the Utah Jazz and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Charles Barkley:Ernie you need to stop sucking up to the network, those 2 games sucked. one was 91-66 and the other was 119-107, damn who made these schedules

Ernie Johnson: Thats enough Charles. Anyways, we have special guest Shaq who is the starting Center for the Pheonix Suns

Shaq: Nice to be here with you three.

Kenny:Enough small talk, can we get down to the news?

Ernie Johnson: sure. I am guessing we should start with the rumor that turned out to be true, the Suns trade Grant Hill to the 76ers for Donyell Marshall and Royall Ivey

Charles Barkley: Who the hell are Donyell Marshall and Royal Ivey?

Kenny Smith: I agree...This trade made no sense for either team. The Sixers already have 2 SF's who are better than Grant Hill in Thadeus Young and Andre Igoudala.

Shaq: I agree. This trade was not Shaqtastic at all.

Charles Barkley: I've thought about this enough... NEXT TOPIC

Ernie Johnson: well another rumor became true. A very unexpected 1 for 1 deal between the Bulls and the Hornets. The Hornets receive Ben Gordon and the Bulls receive James Posey

Kenny Smith:MAN. What a steal for the Hornets. They get a 25 year old player who could easily average 25 PPG if he was given the opportunity, He doesn't provide the defense, but he is one of the best and streakiest shooters in the NBA

Charles Barkley:What the hell were those dumbies in Chicago thinking. THEY AINT NO PLAYOFF TEAM. Why do they want a 34 year old guy in exchange for a great young guy who can score at will....

Ernie Johnson: Good insight Charles.... lets get to the last big transaction. The Orlando Magic have traded Mickael Pietrus for Kyle Lowry of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Shaq: I think this makes both teams better. This gets an A+ on the Shaqometer.

Kenny Smith
: I agree Shaq. The Magic needed a PG to back up Jameer Nelson, and the Grizzlies needed a SG to back up O.J Mayo. A win win situation here.

Ernie Johnson: Alright lets get to the subject that no one enjoys talking about. Injuries. Here are the most damaging injuries in the league. The Lakers lost Pau Gasol in the beginning minutes of the game at Dalas with an Abdomenal strain. He will be out for at least 1 more week. The Hawks lost Maurice Evans with a strained Groin and he is not going to be at full strength for 2-4 weeks. Spencer Hawes of the Kings will not play for 1-2 weeks with a sprained achillies, while Houston Rockets Small Forward Shane Battier will try to play through his Plantar Fascieitis(can't see how to spell the word on my screen).

Charles Barkley:The only injury here that really matters is the one to Pau Gasol. The Lakers were Kaboomed by the Hornets the game after losing Gasol, and it doesn't look to bright for them while he is gone.

Kenny Smith
: wait a minute, they lost that game on the second day of a back to back on the road. Not to mention they executed Detroit the game after that. Also, are you saying that these other team's injuries don't matter, thats bad Karma Chuck

Charles Barkley: They matter to there families and friends, but aint no one else give a damn.

Ernie Johnson
: Alright enough with the insults Chuck, lets get to the Players of the week

Just when it started to look like the Lakers would be able to get through the next weeks without Pau Gasol, they lose to the Bulls horribly. The Lakes have owned the 4th quarter for the most part, but not today. It would of looked a lot worse except for a couple of late 3's by Lamar Odom that made the game look like it actually had any resemblance to a competitive game. Kobe Bryant has shown up this whole season, and it didn't stop today. He shot 11-25 from the field, for 33 points on 3-9 3 point shooting and 8-9 FT shooting. Too bad him and Andrew Bynum were the only ones scoring, Andrews 29 points on 13-21 shooting and Kobe's 33 were the only 2 players who scored over 10 points for the Lakers. Luke Walton and Lamar Odom also had solid games all around. Ben Wallace tried his best to help in Pau's absence, but it is not the same. Ben is a liability on offense while Pau was one of if not the most skilled big man in the NBA. Ben brings more on defense, but it does not overcome for his offensive downfalls when you are missing a guy like Pau Gasol. Dee Brown didn't do much wrong or right this game, in about 34 minutes of action he had 3 points, 5 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, and 1 turnover on 1-5 shooting.

Whatever is wrong with the Lakers rebounding, they need to fix it pronto. It is a big reason that Chicago won the game, they were +8 on second chance points and +8 on offensive rebounds. With players like Ben Wallace, Lamar Odom, and Andrew Bynum the Lakers should never have a problem dominating the front line especially against a team with weak bigs like the Bulls.

Derrick Rose has started off his rookie campaign looking like he is going to snag the ROY award without a problem. He is averaging 17/3/7/1.3/1.1 on 49% shooting. He did not slow down for the Lakers as he had 25 points on 50% shooting with 6 assists and no turnovers, while also limiting Dee Brown. Drew Gooden was just shy of a double double. He had 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals on 9-13 shooting. Larry Hughes actually shot over 50%, one of the rarest occurences in the NBA. He had 18 points, and 5 rebounds on 8-15 shooting and 2-5 from the arc. The new addition to the Bulls James Posey had a nice first game as he racked up 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in less than 30 minutes of playing time.

The Lakers will play there 7th game in 13 days when they go on the road to face Phoenix the day before they Host the Nuggets at the Staples Center.

Nothing brings a smile to a coaches face like a 30 point blowout, and you could tell as this was one of the few games where Phil Jackson wasn't screaming at his players. The Lakers started off a little shaky but dominated the Nuggets for the rest of the game. Everyone contributed. 8 Lakers were in double figures. Kobe 18, Luke 17, Ben and Andrew 16, Sasha 15, Dee 14, Lamar 11, Tarrence 10. Not to mention Kobe had 9 assists with his season low 2 turnovers. Big Ben and Andrew Bynum combined for 32 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals, and 5 blocks. One of the best games the front line has had all year, not to mention they were the key reason the Lakers were +10 on the boards. Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic were straight dynamite from the 3 point line as they combined for 6-12 from the 3 point line and 32 points. Dee Brown was quiet but still had a great overall game, with 14 points and 6 assists with only one turnover. Tarrence Kinsey made his short stint off the bench useful getting 10 points while barely playing over 10 minutes.

There was only 2 team categories where Los Angeles did not dominate Denver, and 1 was insignificant seeing as how t was steals but the Lakers still forced more turnover. The Nuggets had 4 more Fast break points than the Lakers, and most of them came in garbage time at the end of the game. Rebounding seems to finally be under control by the Lakers, they out rebounded the Nuggets by 10, even though it is not very telling since the Nuggets were +5 in offensive rebounds and only shot 35%.

Despite the game against the Suns where Steve Nash blew the Lakers out of the building, Dee Brown, Jordan Farmar, and the rest of the Lakers D have held point guards to pretty bad shooting nights. unfortnately for the Nuggets the same went for Chauncey Billups, who shot just 7-27 from the field despite having a double double with 20 points and 11 assists. J.R Smith continues to have a breakout year averaging 20 points on 50% shooting. He had 30 points and 7 rebounds in tis game. Carmelo Anthony had a season high in rebounds with 14, and score 15 points on 6-19 shooting. Nene has been solid for the Nuggets all year. He had 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals in a little over 30 minutes.

The Lakers will have 1 day to rest before they continue there 5 day homestand against the Sacramento Kings on November 23rd. They are hoping to get Pau back soon although his recovery is happening slower than expected

Mike Tirico:Welcome to the NBA on ESPN. It is Sunday November 23rd. There was a lot of interesting news this week in the never dull NBA. We have expert analyst ric Bucher here to give us his opinion on what has happened.

Ric Bucher
: Thanks Mike. First and foremost we should look at the Players of the week as they both had great performances

Eastern Conference
Shawn Marion

act_shawn_marion.jpg

@Toronto-30 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks
@Washington-17 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks
Vs Toronto-17 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block
Vs Indiana-24 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 5 blocks

Western Conference
Kobe Bryant

Vs Chicago-33 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals
@Phoenix-44 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals
Vs Denver-18 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists

Mike Tirico: Someone has finally stolen the Player of the Week award from Lebron in the Eastern Coneference, and Kobe has his second Player of the Week award in 2 weeks.

In other important news the just recently traded and struggling 36 year old SF has suffered a broken toe, just another injury that has happened to this player who was once considered a possible Hofer

Ric Bucher: Yeah Mike this is a shame, it seems like He just can't stay out of injury trouble. He is only averaging 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists on 38% shooting in 30 minutes per game, this toe injury certainly won't help either.

Mike Tirico: Some other important injuries are the ones to Anthony Parker, Andris Biedrins, and Bucks Big man Andrew Bogut. Anthony Parker with try to play his dislocated finger that should hurt his shot for at least a week or two. Andris Biedrins will try to play through his sprained Wrist that will not heal for 1-2 weeks, and Andrew Bogut will try to play through his strained Hamstring with will keep him not at top shape for a week or so.

Ric Bucher: The big injury for me is to Toronto Raptors SG Anthony Parker. The Raptors are on a 6 games winning streak after starting the season 1-6. Anthony Parker has had at least 11 points in all of those wins, and it averaging about 4 rebounds and 4 assists on this streak. Andrew Bogut and Andris Biedrins are having bad seasons for lack of a better word, Andrew is only averaging 7 points and 7 rebounds in 32 minutes a game, while just shooting 37%. Andris Biedrins is averaging 7.5 points and 7.4 rebounds on a career low 50% shooting. He is also having severe foul trouble averaging 4.6 fouls per game.

Mike Tirico: Lets get to the Power Rankings. Not much action this week.

The Lakers continue to find ways to win, despite getting beasted on boards daily. "Our Big men our rebounding there hearts out, our guards and Small Forwards need to get in there though, if Ben and Andrew combine for 22 rebounds then we should win every night" is what coach Phil Jackson had to say after the game.

Is there such a thing as a quiet 42 points? If there was, it was Kobe's. He scored at least 10 points in each quarter and was just solid the whole game, from every facit of the game. Except of course, the one that often decides who wins, and loses, Free throw shooting. He went into the last minute of the 4th having gone 4-12 from the free throw line, which is not acceptable, and a surprise for Kobe who has been having the best Free Throw shooting year of his career. Andrew Bynum played close to 40 minutes this game, much more than his usual. It was well served though, as he went 8-13 from the field for 16 points and 11 rebounds. He was accompanied on the front court by Ben Wallace, who has been a solid 10/10 guy since Pau has gone down. He had 9 points and 11 rebounds on 4-7 shooting in a little bit over 33 minutes of playing time. Luke Walton and Lamar Odom did not have very good games. They combined for 17 points on just 7-20 shooting. Dee Brown got less playing time than usual, and for good reason, he had only 4 points and 2 assists with 3 turnovers. Phil Jackson wasn't mad at his lack of assists or scoring, he was mad because he did not control the ball once he had it.

When you look at the stat sheet, the first thing you wonder is "How the hell did the Lakers win. They got out rebounded, had less assists, and made 4 less FT's than the Nets on 2 more attempts. FG% and points in the paint is what you have to look at when wondering how the Lakers won 105-101. The Lakers shot 51% from the field compared the Nets 44%, and the Lakers were +8 on points in the paint.

Vince Carter was having his best shooting % year this year by over .05%. That changed drastically after this game though. He stopped making shots, but did not stop taking them. He shot less than 33% from the field, and 1-9 from the three point. What compounded the problem was how many shots he took. He attempted 28 and only made 9. Devin Harris showed up big time. He is having the best season of his career and tonight he showed the Lakers why. He had 20 points on 18 shots, and got 11 assists. Bobby Simmons and Brook Lopez combined for 27 points and 26 rebounds, while every player who played for the Nets had at least 2 points.

The Lakers will have a few days to rest before they play Dirk Nowitzki and the 7-7 Mavericks. They are hoping to have Pau Gasol back and ready to play before then.

Who knew Andrew Bynum would be having this great of a year, and that the Lakers would still have a great record after the loss of Pau Gasol. The Lakers walloped the Mavericks and the score would of been worse if the Mavs didn't catch up in garbage time.

This might be an exaggeration, but doesn't this remind you of the Kobe Shaq situation reversed? The young rookie comes in, and slowly improves each year, until he is one of the best players in the League. Hopefully the end isn't the same as the Kobe/Shaq era though. Bynum had 26 points and 18 rebounds while totally dominating. No one could stop him. his front court pal Ben Wallace wasn't to bad either, he was racking up the stats with 8 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. Sasha Vujacic had his first consecutive double digit scoring streak of the season, which is great news for the Lakers. Lamar Odom continues to be the number 1 guy off the bench and contributes in every area of the game, he had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Dee Brown is starting to look like one of the best signings by any team in a long time, he is efficient, and doesn't turn the ball over or make those young player mistakes you would expect from a 24 year old. Overall it was a great team effort, and one of the first games where you could say that the Lakers had no weaknesses.

When you outscore your opponent by 8 points on the fast break, 16 in the paint, 6 from the bench, and 2 by second chance, you expect to win right? Well the Lakers did exactly that not letting the Mavericks have there way with anything. The Mavs only shot 42% from the field and barely had a 2 assist to turnover ratio. They were shut down on the fast break, and the Lakers interior D was amazing.

Do the Lakers have the best defensive back court in the NBA? Its for you to decide, but it sure looks like it. Jason Kidd shot just 7-29... horrible. Dee Brown and Kobe Bryant are great at making it look like you have a great shot, but having a hand right in your grill by the time you release. Dirk was amazing as always, but had most of his points in the second quarter and wasn't really a factor the rest of the game despite his near 30/10 game. Jerry Stackhouse and Josh Howard combined for 30 points but it wasn't enough, The Mavs had almost no help from the bench and it cost them.

The Lakers will play the Toronto Raptors on the 30th of November, it is etched in stone that Pau Gasol will be back.

Ernie Johnson: Welcome to Inside the NBA, with Ernie Chuck, Kenny, and special guest today Dwight Howard. The League leader in both blocks and rebounds.

Dwight Howard: Thanks for having me guys.

Ernie Johnson: Now Dwight, you are the leader of the Eastern Conference Orlando Magic, what is different between this year and last year?

Dwight Howard: I think we really have just come together as a team, and played with great chemistry and been able to play great defense.

Charles Barkley: Why do players always say that....yall aint better friends than last year, yall just have better players and have improved. Chemistry aint got a got damn thing to do with it.

Dwight Howard: Ok Chuck...

Ernie Johnson: Anywayssss lets look at what has happened over the last week in the NBA. Here are the players of the week.

Eastern Conference
Lebron James
lebronjamescourt-1.jpg

Vs Atlanta-11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals
@New York-36 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks
Vs Oklahoma City-27 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals, 5 blocks
Vs Golden State-26 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists
@Milwauke-24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks

Western Conference
Kobe Bryant
KobeBryant1.jpg

Vs Sacramento-18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists
Vs New Jersey-42 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals
Vs Dallas-31 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals

Charles Barkley: Why do we even do this, Lebron is gonna win every week, and Kobe is gonna win 90% of the time too.

Kenny Smith: Shawn Marion won it last week for the East and Kobe has only won it 3/5 times this year.

Charles Barkley: That was a pity award for Marion, Lebron had a way better week.

Ernie Johnson: Lets get into some of the things that happened last week, which isn't much. This might seem like the dumbest thing that has ever happened in basketball history, but the Grizzlies have traded mickael Pietrus back to the Magic less than 2 weeks after trading for him. The Grizzlies are getting more back though, as they get Kyle Lowry who they traded last time along with Tony Battie.

Kenny Smith:......

Charles Barkley: Is there an IQ test to get the job as GM? Is Otis Smith retarded? I mean, he has done a great job getting that Magic team together, but what the hell is he thinking. This made no sense.

Dwight Howard
: Thats a little messed up charles, he's smarter than you most likely

Charles Barkley: You think you funny don't you? I am not the one who dressed up with wings on my back for a commercial and had my team mate ask if i was gonna use body paint on myself.

Dwight Howard: Eh man... that was just... for...

Charles Barkley: Shu SHu SHu Shut yo ass up youngin

Ernie Johnson
: Enough of that.. What are your thoughts Kenny

Kenny Smith: I agree with Charles and Dwight. Otis Smith is smarter than Chuck, but even smart people do dumb things.

Charles Barkley: You fired Kenny

Ernie Johnson
: hmm good insight by both of you i guess.. lets get on to another topic, injuries. a couple of big injuries this week. Jameer Nelson seperated his shoulder on a drive to the hoop in the game against Indiana earlier tonight. Also Houston PG Aaron Brooks was having the best season of his young career before he strained his achillies in the Blowout loss in Denver. Some good news is that Lakers Power Forward Pau Gasol has been cleared to play.

Kenny Smith: This is a big big injury for the Magic. Jameer wasn't having a good scoring year but he was averaging a career best 7.2 assists and was the floor general of this Magic team.

Charles Barkley
:Aaron Brooks is going to be a big loss to Houston. Luckily they have a similar type player in Rafer Alston to take over for him.

Kenny Smith: The Lakers have to be really happy that Pau back. Even though they went 6-3 without him, they will need him severely as they were cruising when he was here, and he brings that extra scoring threat that has been missing. This also takes pressure off of the young rookie Bynum and Kobe who has been having to score a lot of points to help the Lakers win.

Dwight Howard: we are going to have a tough time without Jameer. He is one of the best PG's in this league, and our backups are gonna have to perform with him out.

Ernie Johnson: lets get to the Power Rankings.

1.Spurs(13-3)
2.Magic(13-4)
3.Lakers(10-4)
4.Rockets(12-5)

Pau Gasol brings a new dimension to this Lakers team, you could tell by how easily the Lakers beat the Raptors. He can spot up, post up, and rebound. He is also a great passer from the post position. He and Andrew Bynum might be the best starting big man combination in the league. Andrew had a near double double and had a season high 5 blocks. Ben Wallace also helped on the defensive and offensive end as he had 6 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Kobe continued to play great as he shot a great 10-17 from the field and 3-7 from the 3 PT line to finish with 27/3/5. Sasha Vujacic has been on fire recently, and it continued today as he had 21 point on 8-13 shooting and 4-7 from behind the arc. Dee Brown and Lamar Odom didn't produce as much as usual, but they didn't need to. Dee and Lamar combined for 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 8 assists. Luke Walton wasn't even on the court it seemed. He played 25 minutes and only got 2 points and 1 rebound.

The Lakers still can't offensive rebound what so ever, but at least there not letting there opponents out rebound them. The Lake Show were +9 on the boards and +2 on the offensive end. The Big difference in this game was the bench scoring, which was highly influenced by the reserves playing most of the 4th quarter. They were +33 in bench scoring, +6 on fast break points, and +6 in second chance points. They also put on a block clinic with 11.

Jose Calderon had a nice game as he is having a career type year. He had 22 points and 11 assists on 19 shots. Jermaine O'Neal and Chris Bosh both had nice games, but they were contained and didn't go to the foul line at all. They combined for 32 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists. Jamario Moon was a beast in this game contributing in every way possible. He shot 5-8 from the field and had 14 points, with 6 assists and 5 steals. Anthony Parker, Jason Kapono, and Willie solomon combined for just 7-22 shooting.

The Lakers will play Danny Granger and the Pacers away from Staples Center after 1 day of rest before they play the Sixers in a back to back.

Pau Gasol was shooting 65% from the field before this game.. Pretty nice huh? Not nice enough for Pau, he had a perfect game from the field going 10-10 from the field, with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He was helped out by team mate Andrew Bynum who had 16 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Big Bad Ben Wallace looked like he took a time machine back to his Detroit days as he had 6 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 3 blocks in less than 25 minutes of playtime. Overall the Lakers 3 man front line rotation combined for 42 points, 27 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 steals, and 6 blocks. Kobe bryant made 7 3 pointers in the first quarter, and it looked like he might break his own record for 3 pointers in a game, but he went just 7-21 for the last 3 quarters of the game after starting out 10-15. He had a good overall game with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Dee Brown has been the key acquisition behind Ben Wallace this season, he had 13 points and 11 assists and only 1 turnover. He also played great D on Jamaal Tinsley who only went 6-22 from the field. Lamar Odom pulled a Luke Walton as he played 27 minutes with the only numbers in the box score for him as 3 rebounds. Luke Walton continues to have a career year from beyond the arc, he was 2-4 from 3 point land and had 10 points overall.

The Lakers have looked a lot better on the boards since Pau Gasol has come back. They were +5 on the boards and +1 in second chance points. There ability to defensive rebound gave them a lot of fast break opportunities as they had 16 fast break points. The Pacers beat the Lakers in bench scoring mostly because Lamar Odom was held to a big fat zero in the scoring column. The important number were the ones that sank the Pacers in the end though as the Lakers were +14 in the paint, +8% from the field, and +16% rom the 3 point line.

Stars are always going to get there points, no matter how good of defense you play on them, the trick is to hold down the other players on the team. The Lakers didn't exactly do that as 4 other Pacers scored in double figures, but you get the point. Granger had 24 points on 22 shots with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. T.J Ford had an amazing game with a near triple double. Jamaal Tinsley shot only 6-22 and had 15 points, with only 1 assist. The first round pick from Georgetown Roy Hibbert had a nice game with 7 points and 7 boards, and had a career high in minutes played.

The Lakers will go to Kobe's home town in Philidelphia tomorrow as they hit the second game of there 3 game east coast swing.

Lol i do. Just something i enjoy doing. I kind of want to be a sportswriter someday, this is kind of like that for me. Not gonna defend my lack of activity though. No such thing as too much free time though IMO.

Not to mention i didn't do this all in one day...I did it over a month or so.

it would take me like a year. If basketball was in the summer I would do this but it isnt so I dont have nearly the time to do something like this
