NBA 2k14

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Don't wanna dig up the 2k13 thread, but had a quick question about the the "My Career" if anybody knows:

Can you delete your player and maintain your current skill points? I have over 65K skill points, so if I deleted my guy I'd wanted to make a new one and just utilize those points on a different one.

Is this possible?

I don't know about skill points. If its VC, then yea I'm sure you can. I don't really play My Player.

I don't play it that much anymore, but my buddies and I enjoy playing black top sometimes, and when you play black top and have a large power forward - you're nearly impossible to stop.

Just figured I'd do it live, so I overwrite my current my player with the new one, and it worked and I kept my coins. Excellent.

Also, just for anybody interested in NBA 2k14 news..

The 2k14 rosters are updated on 2k share for NBA 2k13. Look for the one that mentions contracts in the description

They've got the rookies, Oden is in the game and the contracts that were signed up until 7/6/2013 are all correct

You will have to go assign some free agents to the correct teams and move T-Rob to the Blazers but that is about it...FYI the free agents are all current for the most part as of that date (fa pool had Bynum, Pek, AK-47, ect.. to be assigned to teams prior to starting a season)

Ratings were updated for it to and they are half way decent.

Anthony Bennett is like Grandmama in the roster I have.

We might have the same one, plays the same for me with the one I got. I flipped to SF as the main position and he actually went up a couple points overall

Forgot to mention.

The roster I'm talking about has the Hornets changed to the Pelicans with the new logo (logo isn't on court or jersey's though they are both changed to the correct color scheme) also has the new Suns logo

I hate downloading new rosters because people always overload the rookies with sig skills. They should have two at max.

Hell, Carrick Felix had four signature skills on a roster I downloaded.

you should be able to edit the player and clear them, would have to have the game on to tell you how to do it

a lot of times people will add those so you don't have to play for as long to develop a player since the new shit drops a few months later .

That's exactly why I am currently making my own rosters with all the rookies and the Kevin Jones' of the NBA world

See, I would love to do the same thing, but I don't have the time or patience to make the players I create look like their real life counterpart. And since I'm a perfectionist with those kinds of things, it would be a nightmare for me.

Literally, if my goal was to make Anthony Bennett from scratch, it would probably take me a good 20 minutes to get the body and face just how I would want it, another 10 to look up his college stats and accurately develop his attributes without making him too bad or too good too early. Then God, the jumpshots and signature moves. Add another 15 trying to make that player actually play like Anthony Bennett...

Now, if I had the rookie class completely made, then I could knock out the rating process for them in probably two days. I just don't have the patience to do everything, so I'll usually just do major moves (D12 to Houston; J-Smoove to Detroit) and just fully edit the Cavs.

Yep that's the same one I have. He's reliable from 15 feet and can dunk on guys so it's definitely nice. I wish Dion's jumper was more consistent but then I wish the same in real life too lol.

This is exactly what I did. I tried my best to give all the rooks a similar likeness, a similar jumpshot, dunks, gear, etc. I looked at all the combine participants vert, bench, sprint, and agility times and compared to the rookies from last year and got my athleticism scores to where I feel comfortable (had to guess on Bennett, Noel, Len, etc.). Ranked rebounders, 3 pt%, fg%, assists, steals, blocks, etc. and rated accordingly. I spent a good amount of time on my rosters, but I could only do a little each day and have been doing it since early March. I finally got it done about a week ago and have been making the FA signings/trades as they happen all while advancing the contracts one year and making sure they are right with what certain websites report. I've done this every year I've had 2k and its always my favorite thing to do for some reason.

Anyone have or know where to go for a new roster for NBA 2k12? I try to only but new sports games every other year and would like to play a basketball game until 2k14.
