Are the Cavs gonna get raped ratings wise? - What are your thoughts?

Probably. I bet LBJ will be the only one ranked higher than 83. Z and Wallace will probably be around 75, along with the rest of our players besides Mo.

O'boy, I'm so excited. The new shot stick where you're able to change the shot in mid-air, will be so sweet. I am also looking forward to the 5-on-5 feature.

One thing I'll hope they improve, is the trading system. It's way too easy to get a superstar for a bunch of scrubs. Also the other teams are trading with eachother non stop. Last time I played, T-Mac was suddenly with the Lakers. He was traded for Kobe. That doesn't make sense.

I am a huge 2k fan and love how they keep improving the AI of the opposiing team, especailly as i don't have Live

I doubt that Z and Ben will be higher than 75. i think west might be in the 78-82 range.

Mo should be in the high 80's after the great year he had.

Here's hoping they make LBJ jumper a little smoother, there is such a thing as being too realistic.

I really hope that KG isnt 98, maybe that was a condition for using his image:chuckles:

I honestly like a lot of stuff i've heard about NBA live 09. Like 2k is awesome but I don't see anything revolutionary.

I want the off-season to be more realistic. In 2k8 you could sign all your good players and had no chance of losing them. And you could not get a high profile free agent from another team because that team would always re-sign them before the draft. You should not be allowed to sign your own players until the free agency period, when everybody has a chance to lure players away. They should also find a way to put restricted/unrestricted free agency in there, so if a team signs one of your players to an offer sheet, you have 7 days to match.

That is biggest thing I want changed, but I don't think it will happen unfortunately. It is probably to complicated for them to do at the moment.

I totally agree. I played with the Cavs, and saved a lot of cap space for the 2010/11 off-season. But it was a waste of time, since all the big free agent names had re-signed with their teams.

wow how much better can 2k get!

they need to change lebron form on his jumper & Free throws...oh yea we are definately going to be a beast in 2k9 b/c with my updated roster in 2k8 i am unstoppable with mo taking scoring load off of lebron,mo jumpshot is cash!,kinsey can create for himself(dunking & shooting lights out),wright is just getting all the rebounds....i can't wait to play with jj & darnell in 2k9!

p.s-i had finally learned to play with pav & wally sucks b/c all he does is shoot open looks:thumbdown

yeah, that happened to me too. You have to trade any of your bad/big contracts, to a team with a lot of cap space and only to recieve a draft pick, a small contract or something..

I really hope they will do something with this in 2k9. It can't be hard to include Bird Rights etc..

Just before the playoffs, make your team do at least 3 intense training sessions. It ups all players ratings giving the appearance of more talent = more cash.
