NBA FINALS 2023: Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Probably somewhere between 5 & 10.. Grouped in there with the LeBron tier…

It’s a tough call right now cause I want to put Jokic somewhere in that top 3 but the resume is just not filled out all the way. So for now you probably have to give the nod to LeBron, but as most are stating it’s really pretty close.
All-time?

Edit: nevermind, forgot who i was speaking with

Jokic is by far the most unique player in the history of the league. I love seeing that this guy plays point guard, and center on the floor.

As I said before, he's a VERY good defender, too, and this series proved it. He does it all. He's a complete player.

I want to laugh at anyone that ever put Embiid in his category. Because that is laughable. Embiid is not even in the ballpark. Jokic runs laps around him.
He controls the game with his passing just as good as any of the best point guards to ever do it imo. And he puts up absurd stat lines where all those numbers are still very high impact plays. Absurdly efficient scoring too. He has basically no ego either from what I’ve seen.

Jokic is special. I think it will be hard to have a dynasty though only because of how volitale the nba is with player movement every year. Which I think the parity of the league is at the best it’s ever been possibly. But it just takes one big splash for a couple of these teams that are already stacked. And teams adjust so Nuggets will have to learn how to stay ahead of the game.

100% as @The Human Q-Tip said I think the dude is an introvert.

Jokic is a superstar basketball player so he doesn’t have the luxury of sitting in the corner and being ignored by the media as he likely wants to be. And when guys get that good they are also expected to be vocal leaders.

If indeed he’s an extrovert, that’s a recipe for wanting to get the fuuuuuuuuuck out of there after the last game is over.

It will be hard, and who knows, another stupid super team can happen. Although that's harder to do now.

But I think players are going to be more willing to want to go there too.

Jamal Murray looks like he has turned the corner, to becoming a superstar himself. And their core is young. I'd be surprised if they didn't win at least one more.

I think two is very likely. Doesn't mean I think they'll win it next year. Tim Duncan never repeated, and I can see the Nuggets run being similar.

Repeating is really tough. It's just not easy to do. In the NBA its the easiest, given the structure, but still very difficult.

Kobe has to be the most respected player of this generation cause I believe the players felt he was authentic and not manufactured.

What does this mean? I always felt like Kobe’s whole shtick about being this Mamba life coach and guru was super manufactured. Manufactured by him personally but still.

Also can’t get over how his rape has disappeared down the memory hole but whatev.

Here's a good analysis of Denver's defense in the Finals.
