I'm struggling to think of what the Cavs could have done here.
Even people following the game were getting bored of the Warriors and their dumbass juggernaut team they built.
I'm not pissed at the Cavs. Just more so annoyed that the Warriors were able to land Durant and we're stuck with shit basketball as a result.
[strikethrough]Ron Jeremy's brother[/strikethrough] Jeff Van Gundy had discussed the Warriors' finals window being 7 more years or 10 total due to the "sacrifices" that the Big 4 were willing to make (which, somehow, Durant could never figure to make when he played in a smaller market that, in spite of his co-star being supposedly "selfish," managed to almost beat his current mates.) 10 years total!
It would be horrifying if this happened (that said, I remember 3 years ago during the Melo Big 4 rumors, people on realgm had doomsday scenarios where the Heat managed to put 6+ max players on the roster on discounts, including Kyrie and/or Love in some scenarios, and we all know how that ended up.)
(And yes, LeBron's 7 straight finals are different because of 2 different teams, for starters, to refute another false comparison.)
