NBA Finals Game 5: Cavaliers @ Warriors June 14th, 8:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So nervous for the game I can't get to sleep.

This isn't like any other game. One team is going to end up being 1 win away from being the NBA champion. Reality hasn't even set in at this point because it always feels like it's so far away, until it's 1 away...

If we win this next game, no way we go home in front of our home crowd being one win from being the champions and lose. Lay everything we possibly have out in this game. Our crowd can give us the energy to carry us to the finish line from there.

This is the big one people. Warriors haven't faced elimination all playoffs, and especially not in the pressure of the Finals on the road. I still wouldn't count us out if we lost game 5, but this could be for all the marbles.

I swear the Indians better lose tonight or we are screwed. Someone has to know why.

Who is we?
Cavs=Players+Fans+Owner+Management+Staff. Did I miss anyone?
(The above was brought to you by the head of the committee of necessary and sufficient assurance in equations and definitions).

We need a solid (e.g, just his "usual great") performance by LeBron, continued aggressive play from Moz, TT to pound the boards like he has been doing, and at least one other player or a combo to get hot from 3. Continue to play the solid D. The big unknown is whether JR, Shump, Delly and/or JJ can improve either individually or collectively from beyond the arc. Can't get much worse than game 4.

Is that asking too much? I don't think so. If the Cavs are rested and focused, all of the above is more their norm than the exception. GS is deeper but not more talented, just more hyped. LeBron is still the greatest, a whole level above pseudo-MVP Curry. We should take this one. It will be close, and the battle of the coaches reacting to line-up changes will come into play, but I feel good about "our" chances in this one.

I have a bad feeling because I have such a good feeling about this game...

It's damn possible guys, we want it over in 6 and at the Q so get the job done tonight and see the finish line on Tuesday.

For some reason I don't feel nervous at all for this game. The 2 games where I felt really nervous were Bulls game 1, and GSW game 4. I am sure this will have nothing to do with the outcome, but I am at ease with myself for the biggest game in franchise history.

Being All in means you can't fold. I just hope we don't have to rely on being a river rat.

I'm not nervous about this one at all. We are just flipping wins in Game 4 and Game 5, in order to get it done at home in Game 6. Same plan as always but slightly different path. We weren't going to beat the Warriors 3 in a row with MASH unit. That team is not a bunch of chumps like Hawks or Bulls.

Whining vets: Want to play? Busy crying to the media during the Finals? Show us something in the game! Bombs away JJ and Miller! Somebody, anybody, please make me forget about missing out on Ray Allen forever. Can we get one shutdown quarter from Marion? How about 3 minutes somewhere so LeBron can tear apart the Warriors? Just 3 GD minutes of vintage Matrix would go a long way.

JR: As the ESPN article said, you have limitless athletic potential. Unleash it. Savor it. Play to be on the podium after the game. Then for Game 6, you can roll into the Q on your scooter surrounded by an entourage of half-naked hotties for all I care. Own the moment.

Shump: You haven't been the same since missing the Game 1 winner. Forget about it. I don't expect 50% shooting out of you but something better than 25% will get it done.

That is all.

People need to go into Chill Mode, and also realize GS played a game 7 last game because if they lost, it was over. No way Iggy plays that good again this series, LeBron is awake now. All eyes on Iggy concerning LeBron. No way we shoot that bad again this series either.

Game 5 isn't must win, but game 6 is. I'd take LeBron James over an inexperienced team like GS in the territory of a game 7.

If we lose a close one Sunday, its far from over.

If GS wins they will be one win away from the championship. I wouldn't exactly call that far from over.
