NCAA March Madness 2011

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I need great tickets. Where's the best place to find them?

I heard they were soldout, but i'm sure you can find them on stubhub. I got mine through the Cavaliers over a year ago.

Who do you guys have as sleepers? I got Utah State beating Kansas State.

I think Kansas State makes quite a run in that region.

Another thing after thinking more about these regions/seeds. The commitee seemed to put emphasis on the conference tourneys, etc and rewarded UCONN with a 3 seed. Kentucky won their tourney as well and smashed Florida by 16. The last polls had Kentucky ranked #16 and Florida #12. Kentucky was viewed about the same as the final poll and got a 4 seed. Florida was ranked just barely as a 3 seed and lost by a lot to Kentucky but actually moved up to a 2 seed. WTF is that all about?? To make matters worse, I always thought the overall 1 seed gets the worse 2 seed put into the region. NC was put into the Ohio State region even though they seemed like a top team for the last games or so of the year. Kentucky was very strong as well and was put into the same region. Florida as ranked #12 and LOST in the tourney, but was put as a 2 seed in arguably the worse region. I. Do. Not. Get. It.

OSU was F'cked big time. I guess we have to take the idea that you have to beat the best to be the best. I just didn't know we might be playing some of the top teams in our own region.

OSU's region is tough, but only the bottom half, and OSU only have to face one of those teams..

Bodog's opening odds to win NCAA Championship

Kansas 4/1
Duke 17/4
Ohio State 5/1
Pitt 15/2

The only thing i dont like about the Tournament is that i dont really like how they pick who is in and who isn't. Basically you could go 30-0 in the regular season, and by a fluke, lose your first conference game to a team you might have beaten twice in the season, and not make the tournament. All about RPI i guess. Look at Penn State, they didn't do anything to warrant a tournament bid in the regular season, but since they did good in the conference games, they got in.

Not sure what you are saying. They could play Kentucky in the third game (sweet 16) and then either Syracuse or North Carolina in the elite 8. Those would be three teams who have played strong down the stretch and could actually win it all. They have those two games back to back just to make it to the final four. Which other #1 seed has that kind of challenge?

Has that ever happened?

As for sleepers, I'm a big Belmont fan. Don't know why, but I feel like they could beat Wisconsin.

I'm a big Oakland fan, and I would have picked them against anyone but Texas.

Richmond over Vandy is tempting. As is St. John's/Gonzaga over BYU in the second round.

Long Island was also a team I was high on, but like Oakland against Texas, I can't see them beating UNC.

One of St. Johns big guys was hurt in the ALL important conference tournament. They won't do much. Belmont could beat Wisconsin but I don't think they will. I really don't see many first games that could be an upset but you never know. In fact, the only surprises I think come from the Southwest region. Pitt will not win that region. Kansas State could easily win that one.

As far as I'm concerned the East region is up for grabs. Whichever elite team gets hot will win it. The region is just so damn tough.

Im trying to make my bracket, what is this USC/VCU?

Let's get this out of the way;

A few teams got HOSED. Got it up the ass. Got screwed. Royally.

Colorado
Virginia Tech

Those two teams should be PISSED OFF. Colorado beat a #5 seed Kansas State THREE DAMN times this year.

At first glance, I thought this too. I'm choosing to subscribe to another frame of thinking. This year, having the extended draw, the last 2 or 3 teams in simply didn't deserve to make the tourney at all.
