New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can't remember the name of it, but there was a Bruce Campbell movie where he played himself living in a crappy trailer, and some people come looking for him to help with some Chinese demon or something. Cheesy as hell, but nobody makes cheese as fun as Campbell.

The scene where he first sees the demon is pants-piss funny. The people he led are all trying to fight, he's screaming and running away, firing over his shoulder and taking out the poor townspeople by accident.

"My Name is Bruce."

Jessica Jones was really good. I'd probably give it an A-.

Characters were mostly really good and well done.

Without giving away big spoilers, they definitely started tying things back to Daredevil at the end of the season so you can see where that is going.

I also liked Luke Cage so I'm more excited for that series.

Still they are bringing on ton of characters to life with these shows.

Daredevil, Kingpin, Elektra, Punisher, Jessica Jones, Nuke, Purple Man, Hellcat, Luke Cage, with I think Misty Knight, Cottonmouth, Shades etc on the way.

Will be interesting to see where they take all these shows and how many seasons they each have.

I mean the idea of having four superhero shows going on all at once seems a bit overwhelming.

Now we just need a Punisher Netflix series based on the MAX comics.

By the way, I think my favorite thing about Jessica Jones is that Kilgrave has these amazing powers, but instead of using them for world domination he's just a complete petty asshole who uses them to take whatever fancies him in the moment. It's probably a much more realistic take on how the average person would act if given his powers.

He'd be at Cedar Point...

"Let me cut in line."
"I want to ride in front."
"I don't need to pay for these funnel cakes."

The Cavs game had the first preview for the new X-Files run that I've seen. The trailer seemed to play up the horror aspect of the show, which was never my favorite. Mulder seems like the same nonchalant smartass he always was.

Anyone like Gold Rush? Beets is the man.

Pacific Warriors decent too.

More reality, less drama.

Fixed it :D

Ihope its worth the wait. TV has come along way since xfiles left us, but it was great and a unique look at things. I doubt they get anywhere near 'tooms' level but heres hoping they do.

I am not sure how many dr who fans there are on here, but the current season has been much improved on the previous. They have done some great things with masie williams and gone to a platform of a series of 2 part episodes which gives the stories room to breathe.

Also, a simple pair of ear plugs should be a cure. And deaf people should also be immune to him.

Well, in the comics, his power is based off of pheromones that his body produces. I'd assume the show is similar, as he's unable to control people over the phone. I'm not sure how he'd tell someone what to do if they couldn't hear him, but presumably he'd still be able to control them.

I figured there had to be some catch. I just didn't want to look up anything about him until I finished the season, still got a couple episodes left.

I don't want to give spoilers, but there is some evidence that sort of implies it's through audio, but it could account for pheromones too now that I think about it. But they never mention that at all.

In the show they said that Kilgrave emits a disease. In one of the comics I read, Elektra held her breathe and beat the shit out of him. It would seem that while he would have control, the fact that they could not understand him would negate the usefulness of that control. I wonder if a group that did not understand English would be immune to him giving them orders or not.

I guess pheromones and a disease effectively amounts to the same thing. Either way, he has to be close.
