Oh, you think all the games should be on "the TV home of the Indians"?
Again, I know folks don't like to hear this- the ratings on those games weren't justifying the cost of broadcasting the games. Like it or not, if the ratings don't show, then the rates the team can get for advertising to pay for the cost of the broadcast (and to turn a profit) go down accordingly. It really is quite simple /Ron Burgundy voice:
Pro sports teams aren't non-profit or publicly-owned entities. Fans are not entitled to every game, especially when the #s show they don't watch. I would have to assume that when ratings for Tribe broadcasts give the club enough #s to justify giving day games a go again, they will. I think the ratings this year are up, so maybe it could be as soon as next year, who knows. But the decision to cut the day broadcasts would not have been done unless it was costing the network instead of generating revenue, which is kind of the goal of broadcasting.
