Offensive Line

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think we might need more fullbacks though, especially ones that can throw. Maybe wait till round 6 or 7 to get some linemen so we can get the good fullbacks in the early rounds. Ooh and wide recievers.

seriously though we need to get first 4 rounds of nothing but linemen, i dont care if they arent "value" or whatever, but all the solid football teams have solid o-lines and front line on defense. We have neither. Yeah, LeCharles was a HUGE dent there and it was addressed in the offseason, but apparently, not enough was done.

I don't care what race our franchise lineman that we're going to draft is..

I don't care if he's 5'6" 120 pounds and Vietnamese..if he can do better then the stiffs we have back there then it's alright with me.

Don't be ignorant and bring in a race issue..do your really think it matters whos at QB with that line? Has it mattered since 99?

Drafting Smith would be the most idiotic thing ever....get your Buckeye blinders off. Great college player, won't be an NFL QB. Stop dreaming.
Hey, you just said he was a great college player. First I remember you saying he wasn't even a quarter back. Then you said he was a quarterback, but merely a product of a good system. Now he's a great college player. You're coming around. By the time the draft rolls in you'll be demanding that Savage trade up to ensure the Browns get him. :chuckles:

No. He isnt a quaterback. He is a great college player. Eric Crouch was a great one too, was he a QB? No. When I say QB, I am speaking in NFL terms. Leak is a pretty good one as well. Not a QB either.

He plays his system very well....hell, put any decent QB behind maybe the best OL in the nation with the best WR corp and a top ten running game and you will have success.

Crouch was drafted late in the third round to play WR. Smith will be drafted in round 1 to play QB. Get your Anti-Buckeye blinders off. He will be a quality NFL quarterback.

He will not be drafted in round one. Depending on what juniors come out, he may not even be a top three QB.

I dont hate the Buckeyes, Im not anti-Buckeye. I dont like their fans. Big difference.

Smith will never see a career as an NFL QB. That experiment will be ended real quick.

Whether you consider yourself anti-Buckeye or not, it's clear from your posts that you're biased against them.

As far as where he is drafted, and more importantly how he performs in the NFL, we'll just have to wait and see. No point continuing the argument.

If Vick can get away with it I think Smith can..Smith isn't as elusive but he has a better arm..Vick can gun it but so can Smith..and Smith seems to hit his WR's in better spots..

I'll call it when I see it..

Smith is not Vick, and I mean that in a good way. He's a pocket passer, a pass first qb. Vick is not. Smith is much closer to McNabb then Vick. Smith may even be more elusive than McNabb (who just rushed for 76 yards vs TB).

How am I biased against him? Thats ignorant...Ive called him a great player on numerous occasions.

I said you're biased against "them", meaning the Ohio State football program, not just Smith.

I know you claim you simply dislike the fan base, and I think you actually believe that, but it doesn't appear to be true. I don't say this b/c of your posts about Troy Smith. If it was just him, I could write it off as you having a different opinion on him as an NFL QB. No biggie, there are as many opinions as there are people. I say this after having read numerous of your posts on a variety of different Ohio State subjects. It's the inconsistencies you have regarding them. For example, when Ohio State beats a team by three scores you say the Buckeyes barely beat them and that their opponant was junk anyway. Then, when another team needs a last minute score to beat the same team Ohio State beat handily, you say it was a good win over a solid opponant.

When I see inconsistencies like this happen over and over and over again in your posts, it becomes clear you're biased against the Ohio State football program.

Point them out. The only close score game that wasnt a true reflection of the game was PSU. That was a close game til the end.

And you are confusing the Big Ten debate with OSU. The Big Ten is down and is pretty weak this year compared to normal years. Theres usually 5-6 ranked teams and now there's only two that deserved to be ranked, couple solid teams and the junk at the bottom. Not the normal Big Ten team. Has nothing to do with being against OSU.

Here's another recent example of your bias, plucked from the dozens of examples out there. Note that this one involves Troy Smith and his Heisman hopes, which is a different topic than questions about his ability to play in the NFL:

To say that Smith winning (the Heisman) would be the "biggest disgrace ever to the trophy" is silly, and means that either:

A) you're exagerating, and don't mean what you say literally.
B) you're ignorant.
C) you're blinded by your bias against Ohio State.
http://www.realcavsfans.com/showthread.php?t=5449

Let me add to that some other possibilities which are less likely:

D) you're blinded by your bias for Wolfe and/or Slaton.
E) you're stupid.
F) you're insane.

That's pretty much it. It would be one thing if you said "I don't think Smith is as deserving as Wolfe and Slaton." I see Smith, Quinn, Wolfe, and Slaton all as fine candidates, with Smith having a small lead. One could easily argue that any one of them is more deserving than another, since each of them are fine candidates. But that's not what you say. You say Smith winning would be the "biggest disgrace ever to the trophy". That is ludicrous, and reflects strong bias. That, or one of the other options I listed.

It's your choice. I view you as biased. If you'd prefer I think of you as stupid, ignorant, or insane just let me know.

It would be a disgrace. He doesn't have the stats to win the trophy.

He isnt anywhere near the top in yards. His only good stats are INTs and Effiency %.

He is a good college QB, should that warrant a Heisman Trophy? No.

The only reason why a guy with stats like his is being discussed is because of his team. The only reason you are arguing for him is because he plays for OSU.

If you had to make this case with him being undefeated on say a team in the West Coast, you would be saying the same exact things as I am.

But since he is your boy, your teams QB, of course you think he is a great candidate. I hate WVU, Ive said many times how I would hate that they make the title game. NIU, outside of Akron, I could care less about the MAC.

So again, you are the one being ignorant.

How am I insane? Stupid or ignorant....thats just plain dumb. Get your head out of your ass.

Im not Biased for Wolfe or Stanton

I am biased toward the Buckeyes, I know that. So it is difficult to say how I would view him if you remove that bias. However, there are millions of people out there with no bias for or against Smith, and they all think he is a fine candidate. You are the only person I've heard who says that he is not. So who has their head up their ass: you with your clear bias against Ohio State, the one person in the world who thinks this way, or the millions of other people out there who agree with me?

Edit. It's actually ironic that you made this comment. My pick for the Heisman last year was Leinart, and I openly despise USC. It would appear I don't let my bias disrupt my judgement very much. Certainly nowhere near the way you are blinded by yours.
