Don't know if these have been out a while, but some of these were pretty funny. Just search Star Wars vs Game of Thrones

So is there anyone in the show that you actually want to see killed off?

I wouldn't mind, but wouldn't cheer:
Brienne

I would love to see killed:
Cercei
The Chick hanging out with Stannis

I like how Tywin is just as unlikeable as Cersei yet almost no one clamors for his death. Next to Ramsay, he might be the most deplorable major character on the show.

It's not even close, both in the books and the show, that Cersei is far more unlikable than Tywin. Tywin at least shows...SOME respect and not a total fucking moron. Cersei is a brother banging slut who threw away a good thing for her braindead son.

Pretty simple why Cersei is more hated.

Tywin can go suck it too.

Tywin is smart though and calculates everything it seems. Cersei is not the same...

I honestly dont mind Tywin. He's headstrong with his beliefs. He's a badass and doesnt give a fuck about anything other than his family rep.

Okay...so what does Tywin show respect for? The thousands raped and murdered on his command? His son, whom he practically disowns when he doesn't follow Tywin's wishes? Or his other son, whom he basically has always hated and now throws to the wolves even though he knows he is innocent of the crime? The man who does Tywin's dirty work for him just happens to be one of the biggest perpetrator of war crimes in Westeros. Would you classify Ser Gregor Clegane as likeable? No, he's a psychopath. Well, he's Tywin's right hand dude. :chuckles:

If we're talking RPG terms, and no I've never played a tabletop RPG, but ... I'd say Tywin is Lawful Evil. As in, he's still a really, really fucking despicable human being despite being calculating and following certain guidelines. He may be "badass" and command with great authority, but he's a villain, an evil person, through and through. I think it's hilarious that just because he isn't batshit crazy like Cersei he is somehow "likeable." (I know you simply said he was more likeable than Cersei, which isn't a terrible stretch, but I still disagree)

Cersei and Tywin both, they're really awful people whose heads should be on spikes.

That might make him a cool character in a show/book, or even likeable. If Tywin Lannister was a real person, would you find him likeable? Would you root for him? If you say yes, you might be a borderline sociopath.

Like Tywin himself, actually. Tywin cares about one thing: family legacy, like you said. He will kill anyone, do any amount of horrible things, in order to ensure that. Even his own family members.

My theory was that because Tywin is "badass" people seemed to gravitate to him and like him more ... looks like I was right. :chuckles: Reminds me of Khal Drogo. Everybody loved that dude, who was essentially a rapist/murderer who made a living out of massacring and thieving innocent people. But he was buff and cool, so we'll give him a pass....

No I would not condone what he does in real life...I'm not a sociopath, relax lol. It's a tv show and I just find his character cool. Without him and Tyrion, Kings Landing would just be miserable.

Mainly I just like him because he openly despised Joffrey...

As for Khal Drogo. I didnt care for him at all.

Walter White was a fuckin meth dealer yet everyone still rooted for him...

I don't know. What Tywin did to Tyrion's wife Tysha in the books, and it's been mentioned in the show, was as bad as anything Cersei has done. Probably worse.

Ok. I know youre not. I was making a point. I wasnt asking if people thought he was cool. Obviously he is. I was asking if people really found him likable. Not in the context of a tv show, where we often forgive horrible things simply because a character is fun.

As for Walter most people hated him by series end. Personally i rooted for him because he openly showed compassion and morality up to the end, as well as remorse. Tywin appears entirely devoid of these characteristics.

Cersei actually tried to stop Neds death.

Tywin asks Jaime why he didnt butcher a wounded Ned.

Lol.

Yes, every character on The Walking Dead. Every last one of them!

Tywin deserves to die alone after his family legacy is burnt to the fucking ground. Dude's a grade-A prick, the Donald Trump of Westeros. People talk shit about Cersei (who I fucking hate) and forget that this fucker Tywin RAISED this spoiled cunt and her incestuous ass of a brother. Remember that story about her pinching Tyrion's cock? That's because Tywin made it clear to her that Tyrion killed their mother and that he was a disappointing monster. Tywin is a big hunk of shit. Just because he's a successful hunk of shit doesn't mean he gets a pass.

Oh, he cares about family legacy? Well his family is a pile of raging fucks.

The Boltons need to be decimated as well. So I'm sure the end of the series will be Ramsay and Tywin cumming all over their money and power.

EDIT: As for Walter White, I rooted for him for different things. At first I wanted him to make the most of a shitty situation before he died. But eventually it was clear that he was a bad man, and I kind of rooted for him to be the best villain ever. As things turned out, he was kind of an anti-hero at the end rather than a villain but semantics. Point is, we saw his whole journey and transformation rather than being introduced to him post-cunt.
