Compton is embarrassing. Every Dre verse is so obviously written by either Kendrick or Jon Connor, and the beats aren't all the great as well.

Depends on how much you value musicality. From that standpoint, he's the best.

I disagree, I think that from a musical standpoint Kendrick absolutely smokes him. sure, it's not as catchy as what Drake is doing but when it comes to pushing the boundaries of what a rap record can be and fucking around with the formula Kendrisk is so far ahead of Drake it's not even close, imo. TPAB is arguably one of the most important pieces of culture published in decades and it is absolutely the zenith of what a rap record can be from a cultural standpoint, so far.

what a time to be alive is exactly what i thought it be.

every dre verse has always been written by someone else so that's kind of a strange criticism. for that matter, most of the production has been done by someone else too.

i've gotta admit, it's been hard to care about anything joe budden related for years now. kind of sad honestly, given how great his stuff was from like '06-'10. still remember him hyping that feature presentation album and all the name dropping he did - elzhi, kendrick, slug, tech n9ne, blu, jay elec, krit, brother ali, and the others. too bad that never materialized.

that said, two of those names happen to be coming to cleveland in the next 2 weeks! krit then kendrick has to be the most excited ive ever been about consecutive shows.
