Trade Kipnis for someone who can? Can't say I really trust Jason with the up down offense and receding pop. He became pedestrian again in the 2nd half along with getting hurt again. Now might be the time to sell high if they get a viable replacement.

Got to think once the Greinke domino falls you might see someone desperate for a starter come with an offer that could entice the front office, especially with connections being made between Cleveland, LAD, and San Fran now, the 2 teams trying to sign Greinke...maybe the loser for his services gets a little desperate.

Mayo has this blurb in his article about teams who could be moving prospects:

Indians: The Tribe could use some help in the outfield or perhaps at first base, and many see Cleveland using its starting-pitching depth at the big league level to help out there. Down on the farm, dealing Bradley Zimmer or Clint Frazier, the Indians' top two prospects, seems unlikely, but maybe an outfielder like Tyler Naquin, who is close to the big leagues, could be available.

I remember when Jody Gerut in his second year here started dropping his hands to load before his swing because he picked it up from Bonds. Barry is one if those freaks who I have to seriously question what it is he could teach. The game came too easy for him, this why he turned into a video game once he juiced.

Sucks.

He's performed better than Chris Young, who just got $6 M per with Boston, in 2 of the past 3 seasons (WAR)..

He's hit .271 with a .733 OPS vs LHP in his career (.288 with a .790 OPS in '14) and a platoon option with Chis if we don't upgrade further in RF.. Platoon bat, defensive replacement, 4th OF all in one..

We got him for literally nothing. It amazes how often tribe fans complain about moves like this.
