Ohio State game thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm a big fan of the fact that Urban knows the point spread. At Florida, he kept boosters and alumni happy by covering the spread when he had the opportunity to do it. Some call that running up the score, Urban calls it getting his second team live game experience. It's somewhere in the middle, but I'll certainly be taking Ohio State to cover a lot this year.

As an FYI for the bettors, take OSU lines early in the week. Heavy money will be on OSU this year, and lines are going to slide the wrong direction later in the week if you are taking the Bucks.

Are you an actual Ohio State fan or are you generously sharing business advice? I won 100 on them covering against Miami. On a sidenote, I won 100 on Michigan not covering too. I don't know if I like taking us for covering against UCF, whatever it is. It'll change by what, Thursday?

ohio state -17.5.

I saw it open at -15.5, what site do you use?

Anyways, UCF runs a straight pro-style offensive attack. The primarily operate out of the I-Formation. Their big plays against Akron, were all set up off of play-action.

I think this plays into Ohio States hands. OSU's front four held Miami to -1 yard rushing. Miami's passing attack was pretty sharp utilizing 5 wides most of the day, and hitting 5-7 yard sit down routes. Zac Drysert is rated as the #7 QB in the next draft according to Kiper, so the kid had some tools. UCF's QB will be making only his second career start, and to compound the problem, it looks as if UCF's starting running back will be out this week with a shoulder injury.

UCF has some talent, but I think their scheme is going to get eaten by the Bucks. If OSU gets an early lead, UCF will be in a lot of trouble when Ohio State pins its ears back and unleashes Noah Spence and John Simon on the QB, starting from under the center. UCF will have difficulty running the football against this line. I think UCF is going to have an incredibly long day offensively.

17.5 feels like a lot, but I'd lay cash on the good guys on anything under -20.

Thanks for the info on UCF's philosophy mac. I love our defensive line against a run-oriented scheme. We have talent in the front 4, but I don't like their pass rushing ability. We can throw a lot of things at them if Goebel, Simon, Hankins and Williams/Bennett can force them into say, 3rd and long. Then on those obvious passing downs, we send a line of perhaps Spence- Simon- Washington- Miller/Williams and/or Shazier on a blitz. We've got a lot of talent to work with for different situations.

Like you said, if they want to try to go run-heavy, be our guest.

I use sportsbook.com... Thanks for the info about their offense. I hate laying so many points, especially because I still don't trust our offense. Maybe when the o/u comes out, the under will be juicy b/c we scored so many points and the public always takes the over. I guess I will wait for when the o/u comes out...

Our old budy Mike Bianchi from the Orlando sentinel pops up again, only to get shit on by Urban. :chuckles:

A woman announcer? F!

Don't mind the decision to go on 4th down, but the play call was WAY too obvious.

Better play call, conversion made this time.

She's not good.

She keeps talking about how quiet the crowd is while Ohio State is offense. "We can hear Braxton clap all the way up here!" Well no shit dumbasses, thats the point

Urban looked fired up there. I love having coaches who wear their emotion on their sleeve. It part of why I loved Rob Ryan, that and I liked his crazy amoeba defense.
