OSU at Penn State Game Thread

Hopefully, I haven't stepped on any toes by starting this thread. But, I was anxious to comment on the game early this week. I still think with our defense we have a shot. I have to confess that I liked this matchup earlier in the season before Penn State's young O line started to get comfortable with each other. Still, I think the D line is talented enough to harrass Clark and make things difficult for Penn State.

Of course, the X factor is Pryor. If he takes care of the ball or God forbid steps up in a big game, I see Ohio State winning in a low scoring game. Even if Pryor brings his A game, it will be tough sledding against that defense. I'm anxious to see how they respond in Happy Valley this weekend.

Wait, that's one. I agree with you about Pryor. If he plays well, I feel we will win. The defense will show up as it did last year vs Penn State (this defense I consider to be better than last year's, too) but they will still put points on the board. Clark can play. Can Pryor play with him? I'd guess no, let's not rush to any concrete assumptions.

Ohio State has relied on big plays which come in handfuls vs crap teams we've beat up on (i.e. New Mexico) but will they come vs Penn State? They aren't all that, but they aren't a cookie cutter either.

Chalk me up as nervous, but then again, I always am. I predicted we beat Iowa, and everybody seems to disagree with me. I'm going with Penn State in this one though, as our last loss of the year.

Sadly, This game is the SECOND most anticipated sporting event for me this Saturday.
I'm stoked for the game, just not nearly as much as I should be at this time of the year. Saying that the Buckeyes dissapoint me as much as the Browns is a stretch but alas, my heart heart won't be broken if they lose.

For me, It will play as a nice warm-up event to this.

I'm leaving Athens, Ga on Thursday, I'll arrive that night after a 16 hour drive, and I'll be getting plastered Friday and Saturday.

While I'm definitely a Bucks fan, my dad went there and I lived in Cleveland for half my life, I'll be silently rooting for Ohio State in some non committed UGA clothes. I'm staying at one of those giant fraternities so I'll be in the heart of the enemy. Wish me luck, I don't want to end up messing up my ACL again in some giant brawl.

Regardless, it going to be on hell of a trip GO BUCKS.

I'm not nervous about this game. When it comes to Ohio State football for me it's championship or bust. If we lose one game all of the others lose their significance to me unless it's Michigan.

I'm pretty excited for this game, I pretty much agree with what a lot of the other guys said.. Pryor has to minimize mistakes.. with our defense I feel we could beat anyone in the country, and penn state has nothing special.. Normally Pryor played better on the road in big games then at home.. but after the purdue loss that kind of went out the window

I just am hoping for the best, I optimistically think we win this game by 10..

Not sure about Penn State or Iowa to tell you the truth. Both haven't played anybody besides each other that are any good. I think Ohio State wins both games and heads to the Rose Bowl.

Pryor only needs like 7 TD's and about 500 yards in the next 4 games to have more yards and TD's then V. Young as a REDSHIRT Sophmore.

This could do a lot for the team and Pryor.. We need some confidence going into next year, and it would be great to finish out the year beating the top two teams in the Big Ten. Its unlikely but not that unlikely.
