OSU at UM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh snap...Oklahoma down 17 at the half to Texas Tech...

1 LSU
2 Oregon [lost]
3 Kentucky
4 Oklahoma [losing]
5 Missouri
6 WV

The Big 12 is going to destroy itself...2/3 of those teams are out after this...we need LSU to lose to Georgia or WV to lose to Cincy.

Missouri and Kansas play each other next week. If Oklahoma loses tonight, and then goes on to beat the winner of the Missouri Kansas game, you could see no Big 12 teams playing in the title game. At most you'll see 1.

Having said that, to get to #2 we need two of the following three to happen:

LSU loss
WVU loss
Oklahoma lose tonight and then win the Big 12

If we only needed one of those to happen, I'd say our odds were pretty good. Needing two makes it iffy, although certainly still possible.

At any rate, the Rose Bowl is a hell of a consolation prize.

* The Buckeyes held Michigan to 91 yards in total offense Saturday, marking the first time the Wolverines did not reach 100 yards in total offense since they gained just 97 yards against Purdue Oct. 20, 1962.
* The Buckeyes held Michigan to three points Saturday, marking the lowest point total allowed against Michigan since Ohio State shut out the Wolverines, 28-0, in 1962.
* OSU notched its fourth straight win over Michigan. That has only happened twice before for OSU – in 1934-37 and 1960-63.
* The Buckeyes pulled off back-to-back wins in Michigan Stadium for the first time since 1979-81.
* Ohio State improved to 29-9 against ranked teams under Tressel, including 4-0 this year.
* This game marked the 44th time since 1935 The Game had a major impact on the Big Ten championship and the 22nd time in that same period the teams decided the title between themselves.

In fact, this was the eighth straight year one or both teams was able to win a share of the title or win it outright with a victory in this game.
1-6 vs Tressel :thisguy: Lloyd Carr (Nice way to retire on a 4 game losing streak to OSU. Will probably end with a four game losing streaks in bowls as well. Stellar.)
0-4 vs OSU :thisguy: Hart

LORD GHOLSTON just dominated this game.

Kind of annoying. Sometimes the photos in my last post show up, sometimes they don't. :(

Still waiting for some highlights to go up on youtube. All I'm finding is "hype" videos made before the game. Rep to anyone who posts some good video highlights.

Fifteen minutes to go

I started thinking ahead: What is a better sight for a Buckeye fan – the inevitable stadium shot of young girls dressed in urine-yellow shirts crying their eyes out OR the vast Michigan wasteland stadium, emptying out with still four minutes to play? The answer? YES! :chuckles:

...

We ended the season #1 in the nation in total defense, scoring defense, and pass defense. We are #3 in rushing defense (by just 13 yards per game, behind Boston College and Oregon State…)

We ended up 4th in the nation in sacks and 6th in the nation in tackles for a loss.

Todd Boeckman, who was once as high as 7th in the country, dropped only to 13th in passing efficiency despite the woeful performance on Saturday.

And Chris Wells is now 13th nationally in rushing yards per game despite having two ames where he barely registered any yardage at all.
