CLEVELAND, Jan. 10th - The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed center Zendon Hamilton to a 10-day contract, Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry announced today. Hamilton averaged 2.3 points on .538 shooting (7-13) and 1.0 rebounds in 4.2 minutes in 11 games this season with the Cavaliers before being waived on January 5, 2006. The Cavaliers roster now stands at 15.

We need the towel waving on this road trip...

Lets hope Zendon has plenty to towel wave about. Maybe he needs to wet his towel and start whipping players for lack of effort to get this team out of neutral.

I guess we're just being flexible with the roster right now... How many 10-days can a single player sign for a team in a season? Anybody know?

Not sure LyXo, but I think they can only sign two in a row.

Unless the new CBA changed it, two ten day contracts is correct Karma.

Trade Deadline is February 23. If we have a poor experience on the road, I think a trade is likely. A lot of the team is not contributing at this point, so if we can improve our resources that would be a good idea. We know that Indiana is going to make a significant trade and they have been pretty good without Artest, so they are going to make a run in the second half. Chicago is also shopping players to fix thier problems. Obviously the Nets have it figured out, and last year Philly made their move in January. Although we have played well this year with the exception of a few games, we cannot get complacent while the competition gets busy.

I agree. If the Cavs are to make a impact move, it has to happen this month so the new guy/s can settle in with the team and build some good chemistry heading into the playoffs.
