Pay attention, LeBron!- Bill Ingram , Hoopsworld

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, wow... Kobe has just been amazing in the playoffs this year averaging 29/9/7.6 on 50% shooting and 40% on his 3pters .vs. LeBron who could only manage 27.5/4.1/5.6 on 46% shooting, and 38.8% on 3pters.

The reason for this drop-off must be the elbow ... or is it something else? Hmm ...

the writer isnt brilliant but he makes a good point. kobe has raised his game in key moments of these series (and typically does so in the playoffs). we have seen glimpses from lebron (detroit series a few years ago, orlando game 2 last year, boston game 3 this year), but nothing consistent. if he wants to really be referred to as the king, he should be able to will his team - you know, the one who won 60+ games again this season - to victory more times than not. not forget to show up for a few games.

How can he step up his gm when the rest of the team is struggling and the opposing team can adjust the defense for him alone. He had 3 guys guarding the paint on the isos, leaving the mediocre supporting cast alone, and NONE stepped up. Again... Put Lebron with Gasol, Artest, Odom and bynum and check if he doesnt scores 40 or does at least 15 assists on a nightly basis... and im not even going to mention on the defensive end.... Lebron is a freak of nature, Kobe is just a good players who had the advantage of playing with the most dominant player since wilt, and now has a supporting cast of 3 or 4 all stars... PLEASE kiddos.....

The beauty of this comparison is that they both have the same minutes played in the playoffs. The top guy is "the game's best", the bottom guy is "the choker".

More like pay attention, Mike Brown. I watched part of their game yesterday and was drooling at the offensive execution. Actual plays with movement and an ability to get their best players the ball where they want it. I wonder how Kobe would do in the everyone stand still and watch the star do his thing offense.
