Would Peyton play in NY because his brother is there? This is why I think Washington did what they did Peyton told them he doesn't want to play in the same conference as his brother Eli. He probably told the Jets he doesn't want to play in the same city as his brother.

It looks like it may be down to Denver and Miami. If Manning goes to Miami I can see Flynn going to Seattle.

Manning looking at Denver and Arizona... Miami not a front runner?
After at least 12 teams contacted Peyton Manning when he became a free agent, the former Indianapolis Colts quarterback has narrowed his options.

The Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, the first two teams Manning visited, are considered his two likeliest landing spots, according to sources familiar with the situation. The Seattle Seahawks continue to try to arrange a meeting with Manning, according to sources, but so far they have been unable to do so.

Manning still could wind up meeting with the Dolphins, but indications are that Miami isn't as high on his list as Denver and Arizona.

There always is the possibility another team suddenly jumps into the fray, thhe sources said, but it is looking increasingly likely there are only a few viable possibilities at this time.

One source who spoke with Manning prior to his visit with the Cardinals said "his gut is that Manning is leaning toward Denver."

The Broncos' advantages include Manning's relationship with executive vice president of football operations John Elway and coach John Fox and the fact that joining them would keep him in the AFC, where he has played all his professional football with the Colts.

Yet the Cardinals will make a hard push and put on what one team source said is a "Louisville-style full-court press." Manning also is close with Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt and has played golf with him.

Manning will be meeting with multiple high-ranking members of the Cardinals organization, including president Michael Bidwill, who sources say is determined to sign the former Colts quarterback.

"This team missed on Montana when he went to K.C.," said another Cardinals source. "This is a different owner, just with the same last name. Michael will do what it takes.

"He is hugely aware of our fan base and how his dad is viewed. He came to work with this team to get the stadium built. It took him a long time to get that done, but he did.

"He is a driven young owner that wants to totally change this franchise's image."

And he views landing Manning as the next step in that process. Sources say that would not necessarily be a strong selling point to Manning, who is looking simply for a "comfortable football and organizational fit." Along those lines, the Broncos and Cardinals have staffs that have shown flexibility in adapting their offense to a quarterback's strengths, as the Broncos did with Tim Tebow and the Cardinals did with Kurt Warner.

Depends on how you look at it, if this is good for the Browns. If he goes to Denver or Arizona that means Seattle and Miami still need a QB. Miami would most likely target Matt Flynn while Seattle would be looking at Tannehill in the draft. If you like either of those guys this is a bad scenario for you. If you don't like either it's not a big deal as it takes almost all the QB hungry teams out of the mix and we will pick up whatever scraps are left without having to pay a high price. Also, if Manning goes to Arizona, Kevin Kolb will likely become available. Which to the Browns front office might be the best option right now.

Might be time to dust off our Quinn jerseys!

What a shocker, every superstar should be as lucky to play with the great Brandon Marshall.

He is going to pick Denver imo. Arizona has a terrible 0-line.

Would agree, but who is gonna throw the ball to in Denver? Thomas is pretty good, I suppose. Seems that in general AZ has more weapons to put around him - specifically Fitz and Beanie (along with a returning Ryan Williams).

I do like him in Denver though -- and they could be pretty damn good too if they get some decent quarterback play. But I think they must add some weapons around him.

Denver has a ton of cap space. My guess is he'd be throwing the ball to Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Pierre Garcon... I think he would be able to adjust to those guys pretty well.

I think Wayne and Clark are following him wherever he goes personally. At least Wayne for sure.

If Peyton signs with Denver I wonder what they would want for tebow if they make him available.

Manning not expected to visit any more teams

The Peyton Manning tour was fun while it lasted.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s over.

Appearing on SportsCenter Monday morning, Schefter stated repeatedly that Manning won’t be taking any more free agent visits. Schefter explained that Manning “does not want to make this into a Reggie White tour,” and is already familiar with the Dolphins’ facility because the Colts used it during their two Super Bowl appearances in Miami.

Schefter called the Broncos the “favorites,” while acknowledging that the Cardinals are still “in contention.” The Dolphins seem to have been pushed to the backburner, though, since the South Florida frenzy that left Manning wary of joining Stephen Ross and Jeff Ireland’s team.

The fact that Manning is also done with visits suggests other interested teams like the Titans are not being given serious consideration.

These things can change at any moment, but the Broncos and Cardinals are the clear-cut frontrunners to sign Manning at this point, with Denver possessing a slight edge.

A decision is tentatively expected by Wednesday.
