What should the Browns priorities be starting on March 15th? Of course I could be way off and they bump up free safety or center, but I thought this is a good starting place.

Vote and post why.

Need to fortify up front. Judging by the prospect thread, I think we can find a good receiver to pair with Cooper and DPJ in the draft. DT is especially needed.

Dt, wr, edge. Willing to switch 2 and 3, but dt is staying one.

I think it's more important to upgrade the d-line (DT and then EDGE) over everything else. We HAVE to get the d-line right this offseason. If we give Jim Schwartz the players he needs it raises both the floor and ceiling of this team.

WR is a need as well... but I think it's more easily addressed than EDGE. I also think our young guys (Woods and Bell) have potential. Getting the entire room more acclimated with Watson's style of play would help a lot too. We don't need the Bengals WR core here... just need the right mix of guys who can build some chemistry with Watson.

That's where I'm at right now.

It's a tough call on second and third priority, stoked that I see so many people jumping on defensive interior as the top priority. They need some presence that takes up more than one blocker in the interior to run the wide nine.

Mary Kay pushed Pro Bowl level receiver as top priority in the Orange and Brown Report this morning. She does make a good point that the Browns are hurting for receivers who can produce right away and they have plenty of young development players at the position.

Highest priority free agent: DT
Second-highest priority free agent: DT

Draft: BPA

Show me a Payne/Hargrave DT duo and I'll be giddy.
We need a WR… that is not something we can just skimp out on.

The offense lacks speed and YAC players that break the game open.

DT, WR, EDGE, LB, S in that order

Day 1 FA depends on who's willing to sign for our $$, but DT would be the ideal big signing due to their sparser numbers in the draft. Help on the DL depth and another receiver are the obvious needs, but another linebacker would be helpful, also..

I see them getting 2 DLinemen and safety in FA...a trade for a WR (ideally Elijah Moore)...then DT, Oline, and depth throughout the draft.

For those saying WR is a higher priority than EDGE, do you realize the current starting pass rusher opposite of Myles is Alex Wright, correct?

Maybe you hope he develops with a better interior, Schwartz, more experience, etc. - which is all fair- but I'll be pretty nervous if he's starting Week 1

I'd be okay with Wright being penciled in as the starting DE if it meant we had two really good DT's between him and Myles.

It would be nice to then add on and get a good edge, but if we only get three good defensive linemen, I'm more okay with a mediocre second edge than I am with a mediocre DT.

I also value edge pressure significantly less than most, and value interior pressure as the most valuable thing a defense can generate--so if your philosophy differs from mine, I get it.

I used to value edge way more, just because of the gaudy numbers a pass rushing DE can create.

At this point, I think it's pretty clear you're right. Being able to generate rush in the face of the QB, rather than on the edge is considerably more disruptive IMO. It hurts the run game, and it causes the QB to move and make more difficult throws. Two good edges is great and all, but the QB can still have a very clean pocket to deliver a lot of the time.

I think DT, Edge, and S take priority over 3rd receiver. I do not care if it's FA or draft. Believe we will try to finalize another receiver like last year in Jakeem Grant tho

The biggest priorities in my opinion are DE/DT/WR in that order followed by a LB/S. The position of DE/WR/DT are a little tougher to fill in the draft and FA while it is easier to find playable S/LBs in the draft.
