My reasons for taking a flier on BRIDGEWATER?

I believe the dude has top 5 fantasy QB potential this year. I could have stood pat and let him slip into the waiver wire but why do that if I think he's going to be really really good. I'm sure he won't be better than Bree's but there's always that chance since Teddy has the legs to add that rushing TD punch.

Let's just put it this way I think he comes on the scene like Russell Wilson did the last couple of years.

Picking 5th in a PPR league, somehow Antonio Brown fell to me.

Thank you very much.

Wouldn't personally take Brown that high even in a PPR league.

Just my personal draft strategy and belief that you can find someone in the second round (Demaryius Thomas, CALVIN Johnson, OBJ, Julio, Dez) that's going to have close enough to the amount of points as AB so you don't lose as much as you do passing on a top RB where the production drops off massively after about the top 6.

Whoever posted those pictures of the draft sheets... I don't mean to be mean, but is that a league of people who have never watched a game of football before? Delanie Walker in the 3rd round? Roethlisberger in the 1st and Kaepernick in the 3rd? Kickers and Defenses going before TJ Yeldon and Ameer Abdullah? And that was just the first couple I looked at before I had to stop for my own sanity. Good lord.

All I'm going to say is there are multiple ways to win leagues. I didn't draft a RB last year in the RCF league until the 6th round and still won the championship. If you have AB rated higher than Marshawn or Lev Bell if they fall to 5 then take AB.
Taking a RB in the first round just to take a RB, especially in PPR is very antiquated. That's just my personal philosophy.

I don't know if you were around in this thread last year, but it happened last year too. He had like Bell, Charles, Forte, Lynch all on the same team.

I don't mean any disrespect to your league, but by the handwriting and names, are you playing in an Inner City Elementary school league, jon?

1 PPR league with keepers.

I'm going to have to decide between Julio Jones, Demaryius Thomas, and Marshawn Lynch for my first pick. Who would you take?

We keep up to three for a round ahead of where they were drafted last year.
My keepers are Gronk for a second rounder, Maclin for a 13th (was kept last season as well after his lost season), and Latavius Murray for a 14th rounder.

I'm leaning toward either Julio or Demaryius. Julio intrigues me because he's in a contract year. Demaryius is a beast but most expect some sort of regression from Peyton.

Who should I pick?

Yeah a lot of these guys have never played before. Last year was their first year. So yeah ot explains the drafting. Considering I got ap at 8 overall drew Brees in the 8th round. Lot of these guys just do it for fun but still.

Will be nice to play in an rfc league where people known what the hell they are doing.

What pick are you? Those the only sure 3 people that will be there?

I kind of want to say Julio. Roddy will be out for a little bit and who the hell else is Matt gonna target? His RB's and Hester? You can also take that as a bad thing. Teams are going to cover Julio like white on New Hampshire. But with his talent and contract year, he could put up insane numbers.

Peyton is gonna slow a little bit but it's not like he's gonna be Weeden-esque. More weapons on Broncos, but also means won't see a bunch of 2x coverage.

You can't lose with either. But I would lean more towards Julio just b/c PPR. I believe he will get more targets.

That's tough, especially being PPR. I read a stat that said that D Thomas has either scored a TD or had 100 yards receiving in 26 of his last 30 games. He's about as safe of a pick as it comes. Julio is getting a lot of love going into the season and rightfully so. I've had him on teams the past 2 seasons. He's dynamic and can absolutely go off some games, but he has games that he disappears too, and doesn't find the end zone as much as you would like him too. Plus, he gets hit by the injury bug sometimes at the WORST possible times (i.e. last year during fantasy playoffs). Lynch is just a monster in any format.

I would go Lynch over Thomas, but not by much. He's one of the elite 5 RBs going into the season with Bell, Charles, Lacy, and AP.

I would go with Demaryius. He's going to see some of those targets that Julius Thomas was getting last year, and even a regression from Peyton is still more promising to me than Matt Ryan. Nothing against Ryan, he's just not as good as Peyton Manning.

I had Julio last year, he had a few weeks where he absolutely tore it up. But he had quite a few duds also. It seemed like DT was putting up solid stats week after week.

I'm the first pick in this league (first pick in the RBF league as well :chuckle:), and I am just going by who I think everyone will keep.

There may be more, our keepers are set tonight at midnight. Being a money league, I just want to be sure who I take. I'll post my options tomorrow as I know more.

Leaning towards Demaryius at the moment.
