Re: Public Cause For Tribe Fans (Chuck Knoblauch and his wife are in)

It'll just work....jeeze y'all are tense

No it won't. Not a single team in the MLB has a blank cap. And none ever will. Give up. Your dream is stupid.

Re: Public Cause For Tribe Fans (Chuck Knoblauch and his wife are in)

I never comment on stupid threads, but this thread might be the dumbest thing I've read on these boards. I can't think of anytime in my baseball career when I thought it would be cool to wear a blank hat or someone else thought it would be cool. Who gives a flying fuck if Chuck Knoblauch or some musicians want a fucking plain navy hat. No shit a musician would want that. Have you ever seen a metal drummer? They literally wear nothing but backwards black fitted hats. Navy would be breaking some new ground for them.

How can you market a blank hat? You'd look on the field and around the stands and it would just look like the Indians got a shipment of 200,000 hats that were supposed to have the C on them and they had to think of some way to play it off. Where does the blank hat idea even come from? I played baseball for 12 years and never remember seeing a single team or player wearing a blank hat. Don't even bring up the Browns on this point. You can't compare the two. The Browns may not have a logo on their helmet, but the stripes and bright orange make it unmistakably Cleveland Browns. Indians would just have a New Era blank.

Serious question...are you George Costanza?

That episode is on right now, in the other room. Are you watching it?

Listen we're entitled to our own opinions but you need to reassess your argument: It's flawed. You're just saying dumb shit and cussing at me. Rock drummers? You serious, guy? Calm down. We'll see who gets the final say. I think I have a chance with this.

That, and Klan suits are white like show. Knoblauch loves snow.

Re: Public Cause For Tribe Fans (Chuck Knoblauch and his wife are in)

Since a lot of people are complaining about how cheap the Dolans are why don't we just go with a sponsored hat:

Not a huge fan of Busch but beggars can be choosers, I bet Chuck Knoblauch would be on board with this idea.

Re: Public Cause For Tribe Fans (Chuck Knoblauch and his wife are in)

You can easily market a blank hat. Everyone will just buy one if they like the Tribe... why wouldn't they?

Re: Public Cause For Tribe Fans (Chuck Knoblauch and his wife are in)

Re: Public Cause For Tribe Fans (Chuck Knoblauch and his wife are in)

You can sell anything you want in the Team Shop
The C, The Red, The I, The Chief, The Old Chief, etc
Then you play with Plain

Guess how many people buy a plain hat? Millions, in the end. More than Wahoo. Use the block C on batting helmets, or make a new logo and sell a shit-ton of shirts. You make money this way. It's the real deal. Wahoo can stick around the park, but this is about Cleveland. It'll work. You can trust me... I'm a ballplayer

Uh, no shit. That's like saying way more people buy white t-shirts than any other type of shirt, so the Indians so play in just white t-shirts because millions of people already buy them and will continue to buy them. The people buying plain hats now are buying them for two reasons: 1) They are cheaper than those that have logos and 2) they don't want the logo nor are they a fan of the team. I mean who the hell in their right mind would purchase an officially licensed game cap from New Era for $34.99 when you could buy a blank 5950 for $23.99 or less? Not to mention, it's not like the people currently buying navy hats would suddenly start to buy the "Indians" hat. Stick to English buddy.

Why would I buy a blank cap from the Indians... when I can buy one from Amazon for probably half the price... and it would accomplish the same message.

In other words, there is NO difference between a blank navy cap and a blank navy cap from the Indians. None. How will people know I'm an Indians fan with a blank fuckin' cap?

Some people just don't vibe with my vision. Passions are tried, dreams are tried, emotions are tried.... doesn't mean you lose. I know people are touched by my twitter and I know it's going to be a goal of mine for life. I know message boards are pessimistic about everything, I've frequented the internet for years. This is just the early days.

I already have famous people on my side. It's going to be awhile but I can do this

People will buy the hats, more than Wahoo. I know it's true. It's just better than Wahoo with that 90s trendy red bill

The twitter is very new and has hardly been publicized. Still creating a local buzz

Not with the MLB logo on the back

We don't even have to wear them every night
They can be an option to get the fans amped

Re: Public Cause For Tribe Fans (Chuck Knoblauch and his wife are in)

slander
Do you mean John Rocker?

That would be libel. Slander is spoken.

Also, I was in a league from 7-8 called Rainbow League. All the teams were colors. I was on the Maroons, but we did have a Navy team.

They were the best marketed in the elementary school demographic.
