Insidious 2. 7/10.

Liked the first, second wasn't as good. Not a big fan of horror movies but still enjoyed it.

I saw Jack the giant slayer recently. The best part about it was Ewan McGregor's hair.

saw world war Z last night. I think i enjoyed it more than i expected as it had poor reviews. Its like the worlds biggest budget pilot episiode for a tv show. 6/10

Dave, I'm serious when I say that you should show us your moves. Do it on tinychat.
Wear the little bow tie with the tear away pants. This could be your moment, Dave!

you mean my annual halloween costume?

I havent danced in years. Im sort of good, but it's not something I feel like I have to do when I wake up, not really my thing

Punch Drunk Love - watched this for the 15th time last night. Love the tone, the quirkiness, the non traditional characters.. Adam Sandler being awkward.. Really underrated

I need some movies like asap.. Ive seen all 2000 of mine a handful of times.

Someone please make a list

You are kidding me .... I mean it is a good action movie but not a good zombie movie. No element of fear or emotion. I have played video games that have scared me more than that movie. Forget scare, there wasnt a single scene that made me jump even. And sadly I hear they have green lighted a sequel. Seriously who the heck has money to produce this sort of bullshit? Where is the money coming from?

that's what happens when you make a PG-13 Zombie movie and it's a shame. this movie had the potential to be great... (the book is really good by the way)

I got the chance to view an early screening of "Gravity" and I can say this might be one of the best rides I've had in a movie since Jurassic Park. It's taking things up a notch or 10. Amazing, amazing visuals.

See it in the theaters and in 3D. You won't regret it.

WWZ was "blah"/10

PG13 was a horrible idea.
There were a handful of scenes where I felt I needed to read the book to get proper information. I feel like the movie wanted to touch on important moments from the book but couldn't properly set it up so they kind of show it or mention it but did a horrible job story telling. The scene in Jerusalem was one of those scenes. I got the feeling the movie goer got an abridged version and we were left out of important information.

The book is nothing like the movie...at all.

That's a good thing. The book required people to be stupid beyond belief, which doesn't translate well to film.

When the wind blows: 10/10 the saddest most tragic film ever made and one of the most ambitious blends of practical and traditional animation

The World's End - 8/10

Another solid Simon Pegg and Nick Frost action comedy. I felt like Nick Frost was a bit wasted in the "straight man" role, which kind of neutralizes his strengths a bit, but other than that there were plenty of laughs and the ending was great. It was probably about ten minutes longer than it needed to be, but I can't say I was bored, especially once the set-up was completed and the four friends got back together for their pub crawl.

That's a good thing. The book required people to be stupid beyond belief, which doesn't translate well to film.

People are stupid beyond belief. Have you ever been to America?

Troll 2 - Actors are worse than your average local theater group. Special effects might have comes from a middle school art class. Plot is arbitrary to the point of insensibility. Lead protagonist's defining moment is when he heroically pees on his family's dinner. All in all it's about as scary as you'd expect from 80's workout gear, and there's plenty of it. A must see. 5 stars.

The plot concerns a family pursued by vegetarian goblins who seek to transform them into plants so that they can eat them. The English-language script was written by Fragasso and his wife Rosella Drudi, neither of whom actually spoke fluent English at the time. Despite filming the movie in Utah, and casting the movie entirely with American actors (many of whom had no prior acting experience and had responded to the casting call hoping to be extras), Fragasso also employed an exclusively Italian crew, who likewise spoke no English. The resultant communication breakdown, coupled with the cast's lack of experience and Fragasso's insistence that his script be read verbatim, has led to the movie being considered one of the worst movies ever made.

"Perks of Being a Wallflower" was good. I personally can only watch romantic themed movies once, unless its super fucked up, so it will be the only time I see this one. I like that a non traditional archetype was used for the lead role, and not in a Judd Apatow way.
