So I want to clarify this. To keep a guy from the previous year, what corresponding draft pick is sacrificed? Let's say the player was picked in round 4 of the 2015 draft.

First of all, congratulations to Surge, you are the champion my friend. I meant to embed a Freddy Mercury for you... literally and figuratively.

You got it, Hurl. Same round as 2015. If it was a keeper from 2014, one round higher than the original value.

Ok, so keeping OBJ as a 14th last year will lose me a 13th next year.

What about if a player was traded for that was kept by another team last year?

If they were a keeper last season and ended up on your team, it's as if you made him a keeper last season.

So, for example, CJ Anderson was my keeper last year and he is now a free agent. If you pick him up and make him your keeper this year, he has a 13th round value because he had a 14th round value for me.

Make sense?

Yup.

If anyone wants Leveon Bell as a 2nd rounder or Devonte Freeman as a 6th, then I'm all ears for a trade.

I'd trade them for a draft pick, most likely. I'm sure some sort of value will come up closer to the summer. Just wanted to put it out there for the future.

I'm sure you guys will be fine with this, but you don't have to announce your keepers until next August at the earliest. Too many variables until then.

Do we get participation trophies this year? I feel offended, if not.

I guess I was the Golden State Warriors of last season...winning the most games but falling in the finals.

I think we all need to remember what happened 2 years ago. The favored team, an entitled loud-mouthed bay area group, celebrated their victory too soon... only to have a hard-nosed "never say never" team from North East Ohio rally to win it at the very end in an unprecedented display of grit and determination.

...Then @Randolphkeys beat me last year and made me eat a whole fucking onion.

hey guys can I play

You were the first to inquire, I believe, so you can take @Phills14's spot. I will be getting everything together in the next week. It's a keeper league with two keepers, we won't have to announce our keepers until August because of unexpected injuries. Read the back posts in this thread for details. If we could add another kicker per team, I'm all for it.. just to piss people off.

QB: Matt Ryan
WR: Demaryius Thomas
WR: Devonte Adams
RB: Justin Forsett
RB: Melvin Gordon
Flex: Jarvis Landry
TE: Zach Ertz
K: Matt Bryant
D/ST: New York Jets

Bn: Ryan Matthews
Bn: Anquan Bolden
Bn: Ronnie Hillman
Bn: Teddy Bridgewater
Bn: Kile Davis

I like my WRs, especially if Adams has the year everyone expects him to have. However; he could be a total bust. Running backs I'm a little shaky on, as Forsett was a journeyman up until last year then he blew up. Hopefully Baltimore still has a great O line and can open up big holes for him again. Melvin Gordon wasn't my first choice here but I think he could have a big year. I like Ertz quite a bit and got him in another league. I think Philly is going to be explosive and Ertz fits what they are going to do.

My team should be competitive, more so than last year.
God damnit @Phills14 :chuckle:
