**RCF NBA2k League - 360**

I'm not signing up yet, can someone tell me how this works out compared to Madden? Also whens 2k come out?

2k is coming out Tuesday

And we are pretty close to our cutoff now, so if you want in, you'd better hop on the horse:chuckles:

The 2k league is night and day compared to the Madden League. We have a strong group of guys already and EVERYBODY plays their games. This will be our 4th season doing this for 2k, as opposed to our first season for Madden.

We'll either have only 16 guys or 20, and we are already at 15 committed. So if you choose to sit this first season out and want in when the next one starts in about 2 months, that'd be cool too.

If you want an idea of how successful the last two season were, check back throughout this forum here. Last season is still on the most recent threads page and the sesason before is a page back I believe

LBJALLTHEWAY - 2k comes out i believe the 6th. Just go ahead and buy the game. NBA Live is awful and 2k is perfect. To put things in perspective I'll say NBA Live resembles Cathy and 2k is Demetri.

Last year the only real rules I remember were 1) no more then 40 points with one player 2) no more then 60 points in paint 3) Don't be cheap (stealing inbounds passes, doubling outside of the paint, stupid charge taking, full court press). .can anyone remember anything else? It seems like a lot of people have this question.

Rchfld said we're not gonna have rigid rules like these this time because people had to continually check their PIP and highest scorer and such.

We're just putting everyone on their honor to play as sim-like as possible.

Ok, thanks i must have missed that section. It's kind of a shame to me I really liked the PIP and felt it kept things pretty interesting. I just hope people make a real effort to keep things 'sim'.

^ It just... when it came down to it mike, guys did whatever they had to do to win the games. Even the guys who were PMing me complaining about other guys not playing SIM, were going all out when the game was on the line. :chuckles:

So while I hope guys play as sim as possible, I think our group of guys are experienced enough to pretty much know how to counter most exploits. Not saying that 2k10 has the same exploits, Ive played about 10 games now and its clear to me that 2k tried to address the most glaring weaknesses in the gameplay and AI

Its harder to offensive rebound now, and there is no jumping over guys to grab rebounds.

The post game has been simplified, but it is also easier to defend

The lock on defender thing has been marginalized

Im sure people will find exploits evenutally, you know, but from what I see so far, the most glaring exploits from last year have been addressed and made more difficult. So for this first season, lets just roll the ball out.
