This is a thread for those of us who are still feeling down about monday. We need to bring in anyone who's still out on the ledge. This is a positive Buckeye vibe thread only! Any negative posts will be deleted. If you want to talk bad about Ohio State do it in another thread. You've been warned.

I'll start off with Mr. Bucknuts, god bless him:
Right now, Coach T is taking the brunt of fan ventilation over one particularly egregious “L”. But it might be time to reflect upon a lot of those Tressel “W’s” as well.

OSU’s win at Illinois enabled Jim Tressel to become the fastest OSU coach to 60 wins in school history. Tressel reached that 60-win mark in just 73 games.

Plus, he stands fifth on the school’s wins list, trailing Woody Hayes (205 wins in 28 years), John Cooper (111 wins in 13 years), Earle Bruce (81 wins in nine years) and John Wilce (78 wins in 16 years).

Wilce reached 60 wins in 91 games. Hayes did it in 86 games. Bruce got there in 77 games. Cooper got to 60 wins in 90 games.

With 72 wins under his belt, it appears that Tressel will pass both Wilce and Bruce in two more seasons. That’s really impressive, no?

Doesn’t it seem like he just got here? And in two years after that, I predict that he will be the second winningest coach behind Woody.

OK, OSU lost a big game. But the Tressel program has a few solid wins, as well.

...

OSU had 19 straight wins. They had a wire-to-almost-wire No. 1 season. They were in their second national championship game in five years, with a bunch of underclassmen. They have beaten Michigan three years in a row and won the Big Ten outright for the first time since 1984. If we are in the dumps, how should Michigan feel? Or Notre Dame? Or FSU, Tennessee, Penn State or Iowa?

No, these are good times. And the good times now include one bad game. For the Chicken Little in all of us, let’s not wish ourselves more harm than is justified. Argue the point if you must but it’s still a great time to be a Buckeye!

Thanks Style. we all needed a moment of this.

I can't believe it's only been 4 days since the game. That night I kept thinking "It was fun, and we had a great season". We beat Texas in Texas, destroyed everyone else on the way, and beat Michigan, which was the first time we were both undefeated AND #1 and #2. "Game of the Century". Thank the Lord we won that game. We as OSU fans will remember that game and this season forever. we got a Heisman winner, and proved everyone wrong with our Defense in the early weeks of the season.

I've never felt so much passion, love, and loyalty to Ohio State than the week before November 18th, and especially the day before. Myself and another friend of mine are main instigators of the OH-IO chant at my school. This led me to nearly losing my voice, but that thought was gone after going to the Cavs game against MIN, in which they would put OH on the jumbotron.

I really came into the in-depth sports world just before 2002, and thank the Lord for that. Remembering the feeling of a championship game night and watching being in the fan base of a National Championship is one my best scapegoats I can use when things go bad. Because of that, this loss isn't the end of the world.

OSU basketball is still in season, and we're in great shape with a fantastic freshman class and Oden still has his cast on. OSU football will have a very powerful defense and a fantastic running game.

GO BUCKEYES

OH

Where did Va Tech and Army fall in the Power Rankings?

I'm finally over the shock and disappointment. I've reached the spot were I can now really appreciate this team, and feel good about the year they had. In no particular order:

* 12 wins. No team had more wins than the Buckeyes in the regular season.
* Just 1 loss, but this loss was to the National Champs. Only one team had less, and that was Boise State. They play in the WAC, so ummm, yeah.
* Big Ten Champs. :king:
* Not only did they beat UM, but they ruined their title dreams. :nutkick:
* One word: Heisman. Troy has been annointed, and is now among the football gods.
* 2nd place ranking. The 4th top 4 finish in 5 years. Come to think of it, over the last 5 years no one has had a better run except USC. I would much rather be Ohio State the last 5 years than, for example, Florida. A comparison of their success is not even close.

Ohio State lost a game, and it was disappointing and humbling; however, it's still great to be a Buckeye.

GO BUCKS!!!!
