The first member of the class of 2008 is in the fold, and he's likely the best member the Buckeyes will have:

Reported to be the top OL in the country, and a top 10 player overall. Another win for JT.

Awesome news. The less we have to wait until signing day, the better. I hope he is one of those kinds of kids that will get there at campaign for the Bucks an get other kids to sign up. Especially the other OL that he is supposed to be friends with.

This was actually an incorrect statement. Adams was the second member of the class. The first was a kicker/punter.

Anyway, just listening to Bucknuts Radio Hour, and Duane Long says Adams is the best OL he's ever seen in the state of ohio, except for Pace, and he still has his senior year to go. He says he's better then Stringer.

Add to this that coach Bolls is about a 1000 times better of an OL coach than the guy OSU had when Pace and Stringer were playing, and the future of Ohio State's OL is looking pretty darn bright.

Texas already has 15 verbals...that is crazy right there. Brown is doing some serious recruiting down there.

I've got to admit, I'm surprised that JT made promises that if he committed they wouldn't take any other RBs. Cavsfan89, can you confirm that? I'm asking my sources as well. That is not JT's M.O, and to be honest I don't like it. What if the #1 RB recruit in the country comes calling? OSU was in on some other studs this year, and now they have to turn them away. That, or become liars (which would be worse than turning away the studs). The kicker is this kid could end up at LB! That's where most scouts think his best position is. The player, on the other hand, wants to be an RB.

I'm still happy about the commitment though. He's a good one.

He was promised to be the only back in the class because we had such few offers to give out.

So the Buckeyes turn down the next Jim Brown b/c they don't have many scholarships? Some players you just don't turn down. This is putting the coaches in a position where they could have to turn down such a player. And like I was saying earlier, it makes it even worse that this kid could end up on defense. OSU could turn down the next Jim Brown b/c they already have an LB in the class. Brilliant!

If these four are doing this at next year's spring game (i.e. they're Buckeyes), I will be one happy Styler:

Mike Adams, the one on the right (who also happens to be committed to the Buckeyes already is 6'8" and like 320 lbs.

If OSU got those four they'd have the best line they've had since the Pace/Stringer days.
