Pip, surely the King received the appropriate attention from the Pistons defense, but he is the "King" isn't he. I think both Wade and Redd received equal attention relative to their offensive tendencies....Ben doesn't come out and show on Redd a lot because Redd spots up behind the arc and with his lightning quick release, leaves such defensive tactics useless.

Please don't bring up WADE.. Shaq cannot be left (NEVER)... No way Ben or Sheed trap Wade while leaving Shaq unattended.. When Wade drives, there is no way they can rotate or stop at the rim... Otherwise, it's an alley oop for Shaq, or a 12ft baseline jumper from Haslem..

Billups even said everything the Pistons' did in terms of their defense was a cause and reaction of LBJ... Wade has it made out there.. It kills me how they proclaim he's Jordan2k when he plays with a 50 greatest all time, and one of the top 5 centers of all time...

Also, is it any coincidence the Heat were 4-1 this season without Wade and 9-12 this season without Shaq ???

But, as it stands, if Wade gets the ring, he will be ahead of LBJ... Bottom line, Ring > no ring...

Redd doesn't get the same attention just from the stand point he's a shooter.. Granted, they have to focus more of going under or over screens, but other than that, not to bad...

My first pic showed it all.. LBJ alone with 4 Pistons... Your pic showed Wallace trying to get the hell out of the way with a look on his face of : "What in the hell is this boy doing"

That picture also illustrates why it might not be in Mike's best interest to drive...He doesn't look like he gets the concept at all..:chuckles:

Lepip,

Observe the right leg of Ben and the left leg of Redd (what's left of it). An obvious undercut.

Redd got to the basket at will against all Pistons. He even drove past Rip and threw it down on the Wallaces underneath.

The King deserved the defensive attention he got. Not only did he garner the attention of most of all five Pistons on the court, but he also was self-D'd with his shot selection in game 7. He almost got it done but in the end, too much chucking. Very Joe was a stud however. I'm very impressed by his development. He's a friggin nuisance on defense...one of those guys that just annoys the man he's gaurding. Big ups to Snow...he showed his worth in the playoffs. Z and Gooden....where were these brothers in the 4th?!? Shame on them.

I would still have taken Redd over all those FA's last season. A star with a superstar, we would have easily got past those Pistons who were begging to lose at that point. Bron just had no help.
