Bullshit. Blake Hance, Michael Dunn and James fucking Hudson the 3rd would strongly disagree. Bitonio is the only OL that has been great all year. Took Teller about 4-6 weeks but yea, he's also been great. Tretter has been ok.

Any Qb not named Rodgers or Brady who has had a revolving door at OL would struggle. Throw in a decapitated arm and its not gonna be easy.

These arent excuses.

They have the number one pass rush win rate! They win 68% of their blocks.

They are 100% excuses. Baker makes pockets bad because he can’t operate within them.

Edit: On RBWR, they are 12th.

So they are first in PBWR, 12th in RBWR, but we have poor offensive line play. Last year they were second and 13th. Consistently a top offensive line with or without injuries.

Sounds like Baker needs everything perfect for him to play like a top 15 QB on a given week. I’d rather just get a top 15 QB.
Nobody serious is saying this. Any QB going through OL lineup changes every fucking week, especially the level of drop-off from Conklin/Wills to a Hance/Hudson, would have a difficult time adjusting.

And cool, find a QB for us to seriously talk about and we can talk.

That’s statistically not factual.
They were elite last year practically across the board and they have had 2 elite guys this year (Teller & Bitonio) with a hobbled Tretter and a revolving door at LT & RT.

And yet, somehow, are 1/12 after being 2/13. So, what is it? They’re still a top performing OL, undoubtedly top five as a whole.

Show me these stellar grades for Blake Hance, James Hudson, and Michael Dunn. Hance can't play fucking dead.

And it doesn't matter how good your other 2 guys are if your Tackles are oley'ing the EDGE every other pass play.

And dude, I'm all for having a serious talk about Baker's future. But you're not being a serious person. Really earning your handle name

I don't know. I go back and forth on Baker Mayfield because when I was at the Green Bay game, outside of 2 fucked INT's that shouldn't have counted Baker was ripping the ball into some tight window throws and making some snap decisions.

I actually thought he didn't play that awful and that includes 4 fucking picks. The sacks suck, but we once again had penalties that put us into shitty down and distance situations.

I think his issues are fixable once healthy and I think that's the likeliest route for this team.

Were you sober enough to actually see what was going on? Because he was missing all over the place. He should have had another interception in the 2nd half that was just flat out dropped. On the final drive alone he grossly missed a wide open Njoku twice right before the pick.

Dude just sucks right now. For every good throw he has 5 misses. He's been a complete disaster ever since he thought it'd be cool to try tackling, after, you guessed it...an interception.

Not defending Baker here but I think it's a bit disingenuous to use a season accumulated PBWR to describe how the offensive line has been in recent weeks. Conklin played almost half the games played this year - where the line is right now is not where it was when he was playing. It's like if the Packers were graded to be #1 in QB play (random BS stat) and lose Aaron Rodgers for the 2nd half of the year, and in week 16 they're like, "Well they're still #1 in QB play!"

Hance/Wills/Hutson haven't been HORRIBLE (only several plays here and there), but no way the line we're trotting out there right now is #1 and it shows.

Now, I only mention this because it's interesting looking back at Baker's career. The "good" Baker has always performed with strong tackle play.

Looking back at 2018 where G-Rob and Chris Hubbard were pretty decent down the stretch, Baker played well.

Then in 2019 where we had turnstiles at tackle, Baker played badly.

Then in 2020 where Wills and Conklin did well, Baker played well.

Now in 2021 where our tackle situation is in flux (and both Wills and Conklin when they DO play are outside top 10 in PBWR), Baker is playing badly.

NOW I'M NOT ABSOLVING BAKER OF BLAME. <<<<< I'm all for upgrading if we can. I'm just wondering in the event that we roll Baker out in 2022 if we need to try to invest a bit more in our tackles, since I feel like I'm seeing a pattern and would want to give him the best chance possible to look more like 2018 and 2020 in 2022.

Sure, I was like SCREW BAKER too during the game. But it's the holiday season and his play during the game doesn't change my stance on how we should approach the offseason. The emotional tilts here are heartfelt for sure, but one game shouldn't have someone deciding they want to cut him for a lesser player.

I just don't think we can get another QB right now, at least not one that hasn't already fizzled.
No need to acquire a reclamation project for next year when we already have one.
Pretty much my stance still. Upgrade if possible, but no reclamation projects when we have one lol

That said, I'll be pretty irritated if Pittsburgh gets one of the good ones.
Pittsburgh has some very fun WRs and TEs, could you blame any of these QBs looking to move teams for wanting to go there?

Rodgers has been slurping Pittsburgh all year. Talking about how he loves the city, wearing yinzer shirts, etc...

So I wouldn't be shocked if he went there. Oh well.
