The Russell trade also explains the Rodgers Godfather deal. Rodgers and new head coach Hackett are very close.

NFL should be looking into a tampering investigation on Elway at some point. First Peyton, now Russell.

Tom Brady left NE when they had no names, he knew he couldn't win with whomever he was throwing to.

He then chose TB whom had a war chest of weapons, and even brought 2 more in.

An attractive situation is an attractive situation.

Browns are at the bottom. Fix the WRs tenfold and see what falls in our lap going forward.

Y'all be arguing about nothing sometimes. It could easily be both. Russ wanted Denver for a number of reasons, some of which probably have nothing to do with football. Doesn't hurt that the skill position was better than ours, but I doubt that's the only reason.

Must be nice to be a Broncos fan. Why worry about analyzing QB prospects? Your team will just go get a First Ballot Hall of Famer at the position when they are already well established in their careers.

You notice the skills position things is only harped on when a subpar QB is brought into the conversation..................

People usually don't bring up the skill position players when talking about the good QB;s because they know that the good QB's look good regardless who they are throwing to.

It's a legitimate gripe, the skill positions are awful here and were all last year.

And I already know your next point is going to be about OBJ, and I don't feel like going over that shit AGAIN. He didn't want to play here and was misused and hindered by the QB, I get it. The point is, even with/without OBJ, the skill positions here weren't as good as advertised and wouldn't be enough to attract a top end QB.

So instead of lusting after a non-upgrade like Jimmy G, go get yourself a real skill position stable and wait for Carr/Cousins next year.

But we run a 3 TE package…. DPJ is a blossoming beast
DPJ is going into year 3 and while year 3 breakouts do happen, it’s more likely we’ve seen the best of him. He’s a solid WR.

DPJ is a great #3 maybe could make the case he’d a be a solid number 2. But that’s the point. We need more talent in that WR room so guys like DPJ can truly flourish

I think the fact that this fan base and media have a reputation of running QBs out of town had an impact as well... At some point the carousel of QBs hurts you.
Yeah. We are well past the point of being hurt by that reputation. More like we've been "utterly destroyed" by that reputation.

So is Jordan Love available now that Rodgers is gtd 150 million of the 200 million dollar contract over the next 4 years?

And would anyone want him?

Was he over drafted to begin with? I'm not opposed to taking a flyer but I though he was a reach in the 1st round.

I wonder what GB would ask in return for him.

I don't know what the scouting or stats say about Jordan Love, but any time I've seen him play he looks terrible, imo.

Good point. Love's contract will be up by then and getting him to re-sign will be difficult, if not impossible. Idk if he's ready to start, but perhaps the Pack now look to trade him?

how about a conditional 6th. Because quite frankly if the browns are looking to find a backup QB just use a draft pick
