Round 1 Game 2 | Cavs vs. Celtics | April 21, 2015 | 7:00 PM ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is it time to move JR to the bench and start Shump? Especially with our lack of bench scoring? Wasn't the plan always for JR to be our Vinnie the Microwave? Let him get his stroke back off the bench, where he can be lethal!

Smith has always been a streaky scorer. He could go off for 25+ in Boston. I think it's a little late to be tinkering with the lineups like that, personally.

We've gotten almost nothing out of Smith and Shumpert. It's worrisome because Smith has been a career playoff no-show. You hope it's not happening again.

The ball is sticking with JR (with a lot of guys). We need to move the ball better and get JR some open looks instead of him trying to go iso - we have enough of that as is.

Smith had several open looks tonight and just wasn't able to knock them down like he normally does. I'm not too worried. He played some great defense tonight, especially in transition.

Bill Simmons can go fuck himself.
I don't see the problem here. Blatt's was smart to bench Love at that point. Kev had 5 fouls, and the C's were attacking inside. The last thing we needed at that moment was anyone being timid on interior defense.

Plus, the game was still within two possessions at that point. If it went to overtime, or if it was still tight within the last minute or so, we'd need to bring Love back. Fortunately we were able to put the C's away without having to bring Love back.

I honestly don't think Simmons was trolling on that tweet.

Really good defense, but the offense was horrible. They were just standing there. No ball movement and player movement at all. What's up with these guys???

Looking at some of these teams play in the West and seeing how we're playing now makes me a little nervous. I don't know if we could win 4 games against GS or HOU.

I think the issue is people are expecting 20 to 30 point wins. Its unrealistic. Boston took their shot and lost.

Another thing is this perception thing. if Blatt wants to bench Jr smith and start shumpert. then thats what he should do. I personally dont think he should but he shouldnt give a crap about what people think.

I mean holy shit JR Smith has 5 friggin steals and people are talking about benching him so he can be the "microwave"

This series is honestly a godsend. It's like playoff training wheels, and our guys really need it. Lebron said as much in the post game interview.

Can you imagine if we were in the west and had to face off with Dallas or San Antonio or Memphis in the first round?

Mostly happy with how this series is going, mostly because I like the bumps and bruises.

It's not playoff newbies that are struggling right now. It's dudes that have been there a lot.

I watched the game today with my friend who is a Warriors fan. Was embarrassing to hear him talk shit about how quiet the stadium was compared to in Oakland. I hope its a more lively crowd come the Bulls series because right now we probably have the quietest crowd out of all 8 homecourts that have been featured so far in the playoffs.

People are always going to over analyze a playoff series because its just a different beast. To sum this game up nicely the cavs didn't really play bad they just missed a lot of early open shots that the Celtics were giving the cavs. On the other, hand boston played with more energy in the first half and really just led to a overall much closer game then people were expecting but they still won 99-91. Never really did I feel we could lose this game because their defense just wasn't going to get enough stops to comeback but that is no defense for the Cavs sloppy defensive effort either with their late assignments and hack a thon strategy. The best thing is the Cavs are still up 2-0 and can go to Boston Thursday night and end one albeit small part of their past misery.

1) Nobody has a crowd as good as the Warriors. They are unreal. I don't think anyone even sits for the entire game.

2) The Bulls crowd has been the worst.

3) The Toronto crowd was awful today, even before the Raps went down big. It was weird.

4) Our crowd legit sucked today. I was pretty embarrassed to hear it. It was much better on Sunday, and it wasn't even that stellar then. Windy was reminiscing about it on his show last week and he was right. Cavs fans have such high expectations, that we treat the first round like a regular season matchup. (Except for that year we played the Wizard)

I'm seriously pining for the days against Detroit in 07 and against Boston in 08. I lost my voice for days in those series.

I think, as a fan, it is hard to take this series seriously. We have been here before. This is ho hum. Everyone knows the Cavs team that win in RD1. Time to see this team advance farther. I imagine the place will be crazy in the next round.
