Round 2 Game 2 | Cavs (0-1) vs. Bulls (1-0) | May 6, 2015 | 7:00 PM ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We just need to pull this game out and we will be fine. 1-1 tie with JR coming back. IMO the schedule is to our advantage by playing every other day. We are the younger team, and Rose has shown he struggles on one day rest. Once JR is back, the team can get back some decent depth. I would start both JR and Shump when JR is back, and use Miller or Jones off the bench. The one weakness to Chicago is they don't have a dominate wing or miss match once JR is back.

I'd like to see Moz on Noah so he can sag off and protect the rim and NOT worry about a kick out to Noah and a made jumper. Moz got tore up from Pau's mid range game. We need someone attached to him and bother him, bang him around, foul him hard, something, anything but a wide open jump shot.

Not a bad idea - Moz did block the shit out of Noah once, too.

I feel good about Game 2 though. We were right there despite all that was against us last night.

I could only imagine how many times AC would have said "the Cavs are right where they want to be" if he was announcing the game.

I mean, LeBron needs to not play like shit and somebody needs to stay within 10 feet of Gasol. Rose won't be making one footed, off-balanced three pointers anymore.

We'll be fine. My confidence hasn't changed a bit, honestly.

My only pause is we got 22 from Iman Shumpert and still lost. Is anyone confident he's going to do that again? Obviously (I hope) we can expect LeBron to play better to make up for that, but we still need a 3rd guy to put in a relatively big night.

If Noah is guarding Iman again, he will continue to thrive.

If not, I suspect LeBron will make up for most of it, and the role guys will take care of the rest.

Rose absolutely cannot guard Kyrie, so Kyrie should continue to do his thing. We should exploit that more (especially in the 4th quarter) next game.

Keep in mind, the other things against us in that game other than what I mentioned. The predictable slow start, Dunleavy scoring 13 points in 5 minutes, etc. These things should never happen. How will the Bulls respond if Rose & Dunleavy aren't making 10 threes combined? I suspect they'll go back to the PnR, but if somebody bothers covering Pau, then what? I guess at that point they'd have to rely on Butler/Rose creating a shot for themselves and/or continuing to make absurd shots.

I fully expect to win Game 2 by double digits.

I don't see him hitting 4 threes in another game this series regardless of who covers him, but it's not as important once JR gets back.

Rose can't guard Kyrie, you're right, but the game isn't Rose vs. Kyrie. The Bulls will continue to load up against him and LeBron and make the role players beat them. I'm confident he'll continue to play well. Rose hit some ridiculous shots, but he was also getting to the rim essentially when he wanted to, and that's an issue as well. And despite this claim of hitting so many ridiculous shots, he was still 11-26 shooting, so he missed his fair share as well.

The predictable slow start could have been avoided. Things like Dunleavy scoring 13 points in 5 minutes shouldn't happen, but they kept leaving him (a 40%+ three point shooter) WIDE open. Those things will happen if you don't pay attention to him and are starting/playing Mike Miller. And Pau is going to be a problem all series. Mozgov can't get out on him, so it has to be Tristan, and while Thompson is very valuable for his offensive rebounding and the fact that he can switch onto guards and hold his own, he tends to be out of position and he's not exactly the best one on one defender. Pau can still score on him effectively, not sure the Cavs have an answer for him.

Not saying the Cavs have no shot, but people are dismissing what the Bulls did and can do a little too easily.

I want this game to start already! Tired of these cocky Bulls fans acting like they already won the series.

LeBron needs to differ ball handling to Kyrie at all times.

Really disappointing game. The loss of Smith and Love, not exactly defensive stalwarts, should not have led to the defensive breakdowns I saw. Kyrie wasn't fighting through screens. Bad switches. Delly looked like an overexcited puppy, not always sure where to go but scrambling to get there. Are they capable of more consistent D, or did the Bulls just expose them? Not sure.

I don't need to temper my expectations. I just need alcohol to temper my pain and sorrows if we lose this game. :chuckle:
I would just go buy the alcohol now.
