What about this guy named ruben patterson? he could be our "lockdown defender" that can contain the best perimeter player on our opponent, he has a decent J and also, he is a good rebounder. I don't have any idea if he is free agent right now, i haven't heard any news lately.
it's a good pick up. he can be our version of "james posey".

Ok normally i just ignore these posts but you made me laugh so much i spilt my cereal.

1. Ruben Patterson rarely shoots outside of 10 feet

2. Whe he does shoot ousdie 10 feet you can hear his coach start to cry

3. The reason posey is so useful is because he can guard 2/3 and hit the long range shot to space the floor. He is also considered a relatively good locker room guy.

4. None of the above things are true for ruben

I am not kidding. Ruben 'downtown' patterson is a career .179 3 point shooter, so to clairfy he can hit the 3 but he most likely won't

D.J. Strawberry would have been a good defensive pick up.. hes a capable one on one defender and his mindset is on defense.. he has no jumper though.. maybe that will develop over time and Houston will have there own Bowen.
