Saints = boned

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Holy shit the Saints are done... No draft picks for the next two years done... Wiretapping AND bounty-gate? I wouldn't be too surprised if they're forced to vacate the Super Bowl if it can be proven that they did any of this in that season.

Roger Goodell wins....FATALITY

Flawless Victory

I was viewing some Saints forums, and I was surprised how little they are worried. I wonder what draftees are thinking about them?

The NFL is full corruption. Nearly every team in the NFL bends the letter of the law, and then some to get a competitive edge on others. The Saints and Patriots are just the two teams that were caught.

I can't look down on those two teams worse than others for breaking the rules, when there are probably plenty of other teams doing something similar. They're just the unfortunate ones to get their hand stuck in the cookie jar.

Its not as bad as those that say contract the team. This goes back to one gm. He was suspended for 8 games. The end result will be that suspension will be permanent, the nfl will force the saints to pay 500k to a million to charity and they will lose 1 or 2 draft picks most likely a first will be involved.

This was ahwile ago and none of the current coaching staff was even there at the time much less involved. It will fall on the shoulders of Loomis. He should resign or the owner should fire him by weeks end. Period.

Stealing in game signs is one thing, bugging the coaching room is on a whole new level.

In no way is this just a "bending" of the rules. This is an outright and undeniable rules violation. It is with intent and cannot be handled by just looking the other way. Other teams don't just do this. This worse then what the Patriots did. I hate saying that too. I am very very disappointed to hear this was going on. I remember those past Saint teams that drove some fans to wear paper bags over their heads. I have always liked the team since I usually pull for underdogs. I hate that this was going on, and hate what has to be done because of it. But, they need to pay a price for this past transgression. They just do.

I wasn't being serious when I said they should be contracted. I was just trying to find a way to get Brees on the Browns, even if it is for a couple years :chuckles:.

I am all for that. Love to get to root for him on my favorite team too. (although i got to do that during his college years and talk to him about his Saturday performance on almost a weekly basis)

So is the NCAA, but rules are rules. These penalties are making an example out of teams.
