Salary Cap won't be Smoothed in 2016 - Lockout Likely in 2017

The HGH testing is actually a positive sign. Shows they can come to terms on a hot button issue without a lockout.

Michelle Roberts has me a little nervous, but I honestly thing Adam Silver would have more drive to avoid a lockout that Stern did.

I'm still not freaking out over it yet. And ultimately, if we get a shortened season that year, that's just a few thousand less minutes on Lebron's body without sacrificing a chance at a ship that year.

Edit: This is actually a pretty important article. The cap doesn't go that high if there is a lockout. Pretty strong incentive from both parties to work it out before hand.

Sources say the league, though, has been careful to stress to its teams that these are not mere projections but are also contingent on the NBA and its players avoiding a work stoppage after the 2016-17 season

Two lockouts in the same decade are devastating for any sport. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.
